Hello from Belgium

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum, fairly new to Warhammer Fantasy and in the process of building a Vampire Counts Army.

I've been modelling from age six, with some years of not being active in the hobby due to other obligations, still learning every day though... I started with Tamiya & Revell kits and slowly advanced my skills... I painted my first figurine in metal at the age of 10

I'm here for painting advice, tactics, gaming experience and socialising with other model builders... I have lot's of time on my hands as my handicap forced me into modelling again, the last ten years or so i was busy with more active hobby's.

I will be moving in 4 months or so to a new house and allso looking for advice to make myself a modelling corner in a hobby room/Mancave I want to have a proffesional and well built place where i can do everything without being a pain in the *** for my wife and kids...

grtz for now,

Hi, welcome from not so sunny England. Welcome. You've come to the right place for advice. So many people will look to help you it's unbelievable. You must be loving some of the new Vamp's? Look forward to seeing your models crop up. Any peeks at what you're working on?

Love the mancave analogy, brilliant. Good luck with the move.

All the best and happy gaming.

So I am growing my enemy.....so what I gotta kill something.

Thx for the welcome guys,

Belgium is evenly grey and dark like england

I have to work for the moment in the bedroom or in the living room, working with spray paint is NOT the best idea in the bedroom so i'm planning a spray booth with ventilation in the mancave... And painting in the living room, well it sure as hell ruins my concenration as the children are running around the house or watching cartoons

Pictures is a problem at the moment, i have to buy a new battery for the Kodak... But i saw a nice idea on Instructibles.com for mounting a webcam on a moveable desk light fixture to take overhead photographs while working...

But... to give you guys a description

I just finished armor on one side of the horses of the coven throne wich i painted in a 50:50 mix of Citadel's Boltgun Metal and Tin Bitz. Weapons and skeleton armor are allso in this color... In the afternoon i'm going to do the skeleton horses and horsemen in Bleached bone and the chainmail (actually thinking of a mix of Mithril Silver and Vallejo Chainmail Silver)

The throne itself is allready painted, just have to drybrush the pavement of the stairs with Astronomican Grey, allso the cushions are painted...

Now i'm going to get some wood for my stove, it's still cold outside...

Hello and welcome to Heresy Online. Glad to have you here.

I understand the pain of having your workspace restricted, I used have to do my painting at the dining room table before we moved which meant I rarely got much done due to being nagged about my 'crap being in the way'. After moving a couple of years ago I eventually managed to fork out for a garage conversion, which is now the hobby room. I still don't get much painting done due to my love for procrastination, but it's good to know I can if I want to

Enjoy your stay and I look forward to seeing some of your work.
