I don't know how it is across the pond, but in the US these guys are really low-pro. Every one of their songs is solid gold IMO.

Stereophonics are quite well known in Europe, but it has taken a while for them. I've seen them live, they're really good.

I've had recurring nightmares
That I was loved for who I am
And missed the opportunity
To become a better man

I'll pitch in with Orange Goblin, not only is their name awesome (and the basis of one of my bloodbowl teams) but they also have great songs about alcoholic hobo's

I'm pretty sure they're relatively unknown

Anyone heard of Ventana? They're a group that includes Skinny and ST1TCH from Mushroomhead. The two groups have been doing tours together recently.

Hey everyone.

I came across this singer by pure chance, her name is Akira Yamaoko, and she appears to do the soundtracks to all the Silent Hill games, and I think she has her own band aswell (?).

She is really incredible and maybe you will all agree as well, there are plenty more, but here is a quick selection:

There are three groups that I particularly like:

Mumford and sons, particularly
the cave
sigh no more
dustbowl dance

Anti flag
this is the end
press corpse
prayer of the refugee

and Rise Against
Give it all

I don't know how famous the second two groups are, but I feel that they should be shared.

Sometimes i wonder 'Why is that frisbee getting bigger?', and then it hits me.

Hey guys, recently came across these guys on one of those Kerreng countdowns. This takes me back as this skater style of rock/metal (dont care about classifcations) was what I grew up on and think its sad its no longer around as much as it used to be.

Anyway the band is called 'A' and these songs are from their album Hi Fi Serious:

Not sure how well known they are in the US, but they aren't really popular enough in the UK. Anyway, the band is Cryoshell, and though they don't have that many songs, they are a great band imo.
