I love Testament's cover of Sails Of Charon. Really good version.

My pick for best cover ever (at least for me right now) -Pink Floyd's Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun as played by Kylesa.

I used to have something of a hobby collecting cover songs. And one of the most covered songs was the Rolling Stones "paint it, black."

There are horrendous covers by U2, W.A.S.P., Glenn Tipton, and plenty of others.

However there is a live cover by Eric Burdon and the New Animals which is fairly amazing. When I find the right version I'll edit this and link it in.

In the meantime here is right arrangement but not as good a performance.

im tempted to go finish mastering this song and upload a video of me playing bass as a "cover song" here with a voice over of me singing it... but eh, too much work and I dont have a good mic for recording, yet.

Fallout Boy has made a excellent version of Michael Jacksons "Beat It"

I actually prefer this to the original

Therion have a couple of epic covers.

Fight Fire with fire

O Fortuna

And I think, my favorite Apocalyptica cover is:

In the Hall of the Mountain King

My very fave cover

www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4SmZkmLRjQ

and an usual (but great) cover
www.youtube.com/watch?v=baExq6xNhQ8

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
