Default THE Swarmlord, Bane of Civilizations

Heya Heresy!

Looking out the window one rainy day, I thought to myself: I just started a Space Wolf army, and yet my ‘Nids still don’t have a suitable commander… Checking up on my list of things to make, I noticed that the Swarmlord was the only one not crossed off, so I set to work.

I kept a few points in mind while creating this thing: 1) He had to be bigger than a Hive Tyrant (or else he’d look silly next to a Trygon), 2) He needed to look scary, and 3) He needed a certain charm to him, that would make my opponent both fear him, and love him at the same time.

So, this is what I conjured up. We used a Trygon as the body, and a Carnifex head as the head. The Bonesabres were created by gluing two 1mm pieces of plasticard together. We used Trygon arms and extended them, then using the cut-off scything talons as the horns on his head. We used copper wire as a frame for the legs and tail, which were then worked on using Apoxie sculpt. Finally, we magnetized all the arms, and even the head, so I can move the pieces around as I please.

Please let me know what you think, and if you need any advice or questions, don’t hesitate to ask .

Enemies of the Hive, watch out – he’s coming for you.

The tail is too long for my taste, but otherwise that's an awesome conversion

Thank you, the tail was created to look like it could be used as a weapon, probably to trip the enemy before the bonesabres come down .

I think this is my favourite Swarmlord of the ones I've seen to date. Nice one, have some rep for all the work you've put in.
