Default Need your help.

Hello guys.

I´m back again with some new stuff. And i need some help to find the right way to finish the job.

First of all, i am planing to build some extended Armour for SM-Rhinos.
So i milled some first prototypes out of plastic.

The large space in the middle of the frontpart is for logos and chaptersymbols

Update 1: Sidearmour

Update 2: Both Sidearmourplates + new Fenderplates

Now is your turn to tell me......
Am i on the rigth or the wrong way?

(Please note that the coulor of the parts come from the material i use. The "real parts" are later casted from Resin )

I'll admit it's good, but my personal preferance would be to less on the uniform of the lines you've milled out. I would try more of a plating effect, like plate over plate. But again thats just my personal preferance. But other than that it's got potential.

In fact thinking upon it now. With the front part i would machine out the centre, so a flat plate with an embossed edge, and from that use your chapters symbol in there.

i´ll try to get the "reaktive Armour" style from the old UDSSR-Tanks and the Armour-packs for the M-113 tank of the USA.
But thanks for sharing your mind ;)

It looks pretty good. I like how it has the reactive armor feel to how you did it. I would maybe shift the ones on the fenders to make it more uniform.

I am not fond of the lines either. I think it would also look cool if the extra armour were slightly raised off the actual hull somehow...

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

I think what may be boothing people is the different sized plates you have lined out. THe ones on the front are smaller than the ones on the sides. Maybe if they were more uniformed on the front and sides that migh look better. I'm doing the same thing on my landraider but being a lazy git I just bought plasticard that is already cut in square tiles.

The lines are cool, just not THOSE lines. They don't seem to match astartes pattern vehicles. They'd fit IG vehicles better, I think. Astartes usually prefer sharp angles, similar to those you've made, but they like to keep their lines at angles as well, and not so many. Also, having the lines flow from one piece to another would help.
