Default Alternative Berzerkers for my Iron Warriors.

Hi all,

I've been wanting to add a squad of Berzerkers to the Iron Warriors army that I am slowly building up. The thing is, I don't want any Chaos god specific troops. What I do want is something that looks savage enough to fit the Berzerker profile. Anyway I recently read the Black Library book “Pawns of Chaos”, which contains lots of beastmen. This got me thinking, would the plastic beastmen kits fit the chaos space marine kits. So, I rushed home after work and won me some beastman spare parts of Ebay and got gluing as soon as they arrived. I'm very happy with the outcome of the two tester models that I have painted up and will be building the unit up to eight or ten models. See what you think, any feedback will be appreciated. Would you accept these as Berzerker models? Thank you for reading.

Regards,
Andy.

I think these guys look excellent.

The axes and horns really add a lot and make them look suitably chaosy. I think a whole unit of these guys would look awesome.

However I don't think I'm buying them as berzerkers. I feel like something is missing that should be saying "berzerker" about these models, but I'm having trouble putting my finger on it.

Their poses seem comparatively static. It might help if you reorient the horns so they're pointing upwards more like a typical khornate head-dress.

It might work to mix berzerker pieces with beastmen pieces, and just remove the khorne symbols. That way you get the poses and design inheritance from the recognizable armor style, but without having to make them explicitly khornate.

Cheers,
Kreuger

Cool mutated marines, but not really berkseker-ish. Seconding what the previous poster said; generic berserker bitz also work well for IW conversions.

Actually there is a tutorial on making berzerker/beastmen. I just found it referenced!

Check it out, might help. =)

I don't get the Beastmen part, but rest assured they look badass regardless!
