Default A modelling question about a Chaplain Dreadnought...

I recently picked up a chaplain dread, which, of course, doesn't come with arms. Not a problem, as I have quite a few spares from all the other dreads I've made. Now, my question is this; should i model the Chaplain dread bearing a large crozius as his close combat weapon, or simply use a more standard dread CCW like the hand-like fist or the typical 4-fingered claw?

I'd say, in the spirit of the whole Chaplain ideology, that you should try to scratch build one if you can. I know that I, on the other hand, have absolute shite for scratch-building skills, so I can't really judge if you decide it's too much work haha.

Or maybe work the existing claws that you have to grasp around a massive crozius? That way it doesn't have a dinky CCW like the new Librarian Furiosos.

Good luck either way, looking forward to seeing what you put together!

I personally like the claws, but a scratch built Crozius is an intriguing idea. I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but it I am in the same boat as Boc, no scratch building skills.

try and get the glaive arm from the new libby dread for BA, cut off the blade and replace for something suitably crozius like, that would probably be the easiest option

Either what the others said, or just turn one of his fists into a huge Crozius head.

The fool, the coward, and the ignorant proclaim that the warp is a realm of unknowable peril and indescribable terror, that it is the hell of countless ancient myths and legends. This is a lie, told by those whose authority is based on lies, to keep the masses terrified of the unknown. The warp is limitless power and its secrets are infinite; it is knowledge and strength, life and death, and the untapped potential to make and remake worlds. It takes only the discipline and the will to shape it; those who lack that clarity of purpose are liable to be shaped by it instead.

I voted for Crozius, as it clearly makes it stand out from the normal honoured dead look of normal dreadnoughts.

alternatively a giant thurible as a morning star.

Dave, have you been peeking in my windows again? I was JUST looking at this image -

-And you and go and post the link to Wiki .

I was actually thinking of making the "crozius" more into an incense-emitting mace, and I think I know just how to do it... Hope to have pics soon.
