Default pathfinders

just wondering do you think you could build some pathfinders from the fire warrior box cause its a way cheaper alternative for such an awesome unit

yes, just don't glue the pads on and use carbines only, job done.

That is the bare minimum, true. However, to really give the Pathfinders a strong theme, and a clear distinction from Fire Warriors, I'd advise placing rocks (Sept homeworld theme) or Xenos flora (Death World theme) or something upon the bases to really emphasise their scouting nature. Also, a slightly varying/more weathered colour scheme may help...

I filed down the ridged armour plates on mine to give them a smoother look

Technically pathfinders also don't wear thigh armour as well. Make sure your codex is on hand when building these babies for pictures/inspiration. That's what I did when I scratch built some lootas.
