Default My DE Archon.

It's been a while since I posted a picture on here. So I thought I'd share my Archon with you.

Dodgy picture quality, so I'm sorry. And I'm no painting God, so I apologise for that too.

And no, it's no a mold line running down the centre of the helmet, I've chiseled an angle on the the helmet to make it look a little sharper, something you can't see in these photos cus of the light

He isn't finished yet, and needs touching up.

Sadly not. I painted it in bits anyway, then put it together once the 'basic' colours were done.

I'm still not sure on the blue.
It's done by painting a mottle silver:
-Black basecoat
-All armour painted Boltgun metal
-Patches of Chainmail over that
-Edges and occasional patches of Mithril silver
-5 coats of Asurman Blue wash.

The blue works well. Something for the moonlight to shine off during a midnight raid.

For the eyes, wash them with some badab black, then put a little dot of skull white on each one, to make it look like they're gleaming

that looks really awesome!! good job

How ironic it is that as fast as we spread progress and hope throughout the galaxy, the Tyranids spread death and despair. Only united can we hope to stand against them.
