Default A dark Adeptus idea

So I'm working on my Chaos Marine army, and I had a thought: Make a Dark Adeptus unit. For those who are un-aware of who the Dark Adeptus are, they are basically the Adeptus Mechanicus who sided with Horus and later disappeared into the warp. Basically here's my thought:

The Cult marines (Thousand Sons, Plague Marines, and Berserkers) can represent various android, and servetor combat units. Well, rather rule wise they would but the models would be something different. Think Servitors designed for combat, but that chaos twist. In stead of simply being heavily armored (to represent the 3+ save), they'd be equipped with additional close combat weapons (To represent... well the extra close combat weapons).

The combat servitors would be armed with Plasma guns of some form and have force field generators to represent the Inferno bolts and 4+ invulnerable save of the T.sons. While their SnP can be used to represent them having difficulty with terrain that isn't flat and level and the Sorcorer commands can be the "controller". He'd be like your typical Adeptus, but in some form of rig that allows him to control the servitors. Which would then explain the difference if he's killed.

So thoughts? And more importantly, anyone have any ideas on where to really start with this?

Be Sure to follow me on:

Sounds like a great idea.

Servitors are always a bit tricky to build, although a good start would be looking at the SM servitors. I'll see if I can come up with some more ideas for you while I at work.

Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.
