Default lightning sculpting?

Hello all, I'm busily converting a tzeentch disc sorcerer (the nice burny halberd one) and a lord of change into a tzeentch demon prince, and to be frank I want to have lightning coming from his left hand, or wreathing it, whicher is easier to model, as I do fire all too often and want this guy to be a bit differant, has anyone got any suggestion on the how of this?
I'd make it from just a wire frame, but suspect it would be obscenely fragile, and I think just painting it on would be cheating a bit.
Thanks for any ideas.

You could always make it out of greenstuff, you know. Just a lot of sharp edges in lightning shapes, either out from his hand, writhing around it or even better, both. It should be fairly easy.
One way could be to shape the lightning using wire frame then add some GS around it to strengthen and thicken it as much as you like. Then you just paint it in some nice colours, and voilà! ;D

94% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are part of the 6% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.
95% of teens would cry if they saw the Jonas Brothers at the top of a skyscraper about to jump. Copy and paste this if you are part of the 5% that would yell "DO A FLIP!!!"
