I only started playing about 8 months ago, and ive decided as an ork its time for me to start doign some bigger conversion projects and would lvoe to get my hands on certain bits.

So I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendation on where to buy cheap bits and even reg warhammer 40k items online?

Preferably somewhere in the US.

Go to a local normal hobby shop and check through normal kits if you wanna try some big conversions. You don't need high detail since you can do a lot of the detail yourself and if you used something like an overly larger Panzer model for an ork battlewagon the scale of the model wouldn't match and you will need to detail it yourself anyways so generally you can bypass a lot of the really expensive kits.

I don't have so much experience with the normal models as of late myself so if you find any good quality, good price larger scale Panzer IV kits shoot me a PM telling me who makes it.

The nice thing about an Ork army is that you can pretty much use ANYTHING for conversions. But if you're looking of GW bits, try www.bitkingdom.com they have the best prices I've found. You can also try ebay.

I'm a fan of the warstore, but mainly because of their customer service...some of their bits prices are a bit arbitrary and high

Warstore sells a lot of bits you need, and their shipping's not too bad. But the bits can be a bit expensive, like a pair of SM legs would be 2 bucks or something.
