Default Question on paint shades

Trying to go for an olive drab type color

Should I base with Dark Angels Green and then go over it with Camo Green?

If you are going for a dull green, A black basecoat, with a Scorched Brown will give you a dark basecoat to work from. Dark Angels green is better for 'Pure' Green, which comes from a Black Base, while 'Muddy' Green comes from a Brown Base.

A Scorched Brown Basecoat, followed by a Scorched Brown/Camo green mix can be liberally layered on top, leaving the Scorched Brown in the Creases. A Wash of Camo green can then go over that layer, when fully dry.

Finally, Camo Green can be added as a final layer - extremity highlighting can be done by Camo Green and a slight skull white, or Bleached Bone added in.

A really quick and simple paint scheme that can do about 10 models in 2 hours.

Informative as always. was thinking a olive drabish type uniform color with khaki tan for the body armor or maybe vice versa
