Personally when I start a new project my main concern with colour schemes is, what haven't I painted before? Across various armies, both 40k and other systems, I've painted a lot of reds, blues, blacks and greys. So that rules them out. Then I think what's new for me? What technique haven't I tried? Use a new project as a way to improve your skills. I have a Primaris project lined up for when/if I finish my Death Guard, and I'm thinking a DA successor chapter painted in bone with green highlights is the way to go.

Not sure that rambling post answered your question. It's early in the morning here.

I would pick a colour like grey, as your minions deploy depending on prophetic visions, grey could symbolise the ambiguity of the here and now. The chapter librarians could be in white to show they are the purveyors of certainty, just a bit of blue to show they are librarians
