Default Modelling advice

Hello friends,

I have some of these minis, (link: Reaper Miniatures :: OnlineStore) for my D&D campaign, and a player basically wants one of these but with little treads.

Does anyone have advice for making these, or a good place to purchase something with them? I have a servitor from Space Hulk that works pretty well but I'm pretty partial to it, and buying a second seems like it would be fairly expensive from a cursory look at ebay. There are some more specific details but I can futz with those pretty easily.

If you go down to the woods today, be wary

I'm on my phone so apologies for the brevity, but check out Anvil Industries and Kromlech. They both have products I'm sure you could make applicable to you situation.
