Default First model in a decade or two

Painted my first model after a long time away. I did this raptor the whole way through before starting on his squadmates. One thing i learned from this guy is that i need to paint his weapons all black and then work in the metal highlights. You can see some of the red basecoat peaking through on the edges.

The red basecoat showing isn't awful. Looks like there's some rust buildup or demonic lighting or who knows what-- could even be dried blood in the recesses there. You're off to a great start!

Nicely done. Looks like a solid start back at painting to me

reworked the highlights on the first model a little and then did up the rest. Just need to bang out the weapons, eyes, and bases and this squad will be ready to murder all the things.

still trying to decide how to finish the claws...thinking just some silver or gold drybrush but not sure...maybe gold at the base and then fade it to silver.

Got them finished up. My phone camera makes them look way more pink than they really are, lol.

thanks! i really dig all the new models. The new raptors are loads better than the old ones. I'm hoping they update the obliterator models soon.
