Why? Several reasons:

1.) Because I can.

2.) Because I think GW models, as nice as they are, are overpriced and going up even more making collecting an army unrealistic if you have a family and are living below what is considered the poverty level. (Lessee....roughly $10+ U.S. per fig for a terminator vs. less than $1 for a paper version and I can print out as many as I want....hmmm).

3.) Being a toy/game/paper model designer (on the side at this point), It keeps my creativity flowing and adds to my portfolio.

4.) It keeps people worried about my sanity......;)

5.) I like being different.

Great job on the Russ. Had you not told me I probably wouldn't have noticed that it was scratch build. Very well done!

OK. A question:

If termies have gone from 35 to 40mm, does that mean the SM have gone from 30 to 35mm?

No. It's just that Termies now pose a greater threat and so have a bigger base.

OK....so how tall are the SM and Termies then (I'm thinking of releasing the patterns and want the scale to be correct).

Both look cool, and they're made of paper?! Wow, someone has great patience.

Thats amazing that they you made a terminator from paper. They look good considering they are made from paper. Can you make normal marines in this way?

Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.

I'm currently working on the SM and debugging the Termie (it was an alpha build). I do need to know the size of the current miniatures so that when I release the figs, they will be to scale.

It took me two weeks, but that's only getting in 1/2 hour here and and hour there, plus I was figuring out the assembly as I went. The next one should go much quicker.
