Default Khorne Terminator Lord

Hey guys. I just bought the Chaos Space Marine Terminator lord boxed set, and I've put the model together and working on undercoating it right now. He's going to have the Mark of Khorne, and be the center of a Khorne army I'm working on now. I was wondering what colors I should use to paint the Terminator. Perhaps Brazen Brass or something, on the chain mail loincloth?

If you him to stand out, i suggest a darker red, like this.

Whereas the usual red would be liek this.

It would make him stand out, but it wouldnt be awkward.

To paint him in a brighter red as demonstrated above, I suggest blood red mixed with mechrite red, or mechrite red highlighted with blood red. For my berzerkers, I undercoat them with scab red then go over them with mechrite after inking the detail lines black. Then I go over them with dwarf bronze/boltgun metal as the metal requires. At the end, I wash the whole model in chaos black heavily watered down to create a grittier, darker and (I feel) more realistic looking model. This also allows me to use blood red to create visible blood spray patches on the chest/arms. Good luck with your lord!

I prefer the red on Berzerkers to be dark as well, just looks more ominous.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Thanks for the support, everyone. I'm working on undercoating the models with Scab Red right now. I don't have a digital cam, but I can try holding the model up to my webcam when I finish it. I'm excited to work on this one.

One question, rule based. Am I allowed to have my Chaos Lord have a twin linked storm bolter in one hand, and have a Daemon Weapon in the other? Because it says in Codex: Chaos Space Marines that you must wield the Daemon Weapon with two hands.

Can't wait to see it. I agree with using darker red and brass. If you want to deepen the color even more use a wash of Delven mud on it, It usually works out successful for me. Hope this helps.

Sure, you just have to assume that when he gets into close combat he either drops the bolter, slings it over his shoulder, throws it at the enemy, or whatever he has to do do get both hands around the Daemon Weapon.
