Default Kroot master shaper and conversion idea

Ok so i want to model a small kroot force to use as allies for my eldar army, i have some kroot carnivores an I've been working on my master shaper he is gonna count as an Ethereal with an honor blade. Its my first conversion using green stuff an i'm quite proud of how the cape turned out. Sorry in advance for my poor painting skills though..

Now.. i want to add some knarloc riders using the rules from Imperial Armour 3. I'd rather work with plastic than resin though, so i was thinking of using the wolves from the thunderwolf cavalry box as counts as knarlocs. Does any one know if the wolves would be a good size? or have any ideas for good plastic models i could use instead?

I'd use Dark Elf (from Fantasy) Cold Ones instead of the wolves; Krootkin are more scaly than hairy...

I agreee with Den. The cold one riders would be your best bet but maybe use the ones from the Lizardmen rather than the Dark Elf. they have a more primitive look to them that the kroot typically tend to embrace.

Also the cape looks good I would suggest for future projects adding a little bit of texture to it to make it pop out. Nice work man

If you want a bigger lizard (and Gnarlocs are pretty large) you could try the plastic Fantasy Carnosaur...

I'm pretty sure he'd qualify as a Greater Knarloc. And you'd need permission for Knarlocs, they're Forge World. Might make interesting Kroot Hounds, tho.
