Default WIP - AdMech Night Scythe

So I've been working on my Adeptus Mechanicus army, which is a Counts-As army built around Necron small 'robots' and Tau large 'robots'. However, since it's based around AdMech, I'm trying to meld those two together with Imperial asthetics. This leaves me with things like a Riptide built out of a Dreadknight, and now a Night Scythe. It's designed to be a mesh of Tau, Necron, and Imperial tech. Unfortunately I'm missing a few piece still; I can't find the rear main engine for the Bommer at any of my usual bits sites, or ebay. I also still need the tail fin for a second, as my army is running two of these babies. I also had alot of issues with the bits site I ordered from giving me wrong canopies, so I had to make some adjustments on the fly.

I'm also trying to decide if it needs more tech; I was considering attaching the large Homing beacon 'drone' to act as some sort of sensor, like some Air Force fliers have those large radar dishes.

What do people think?

Looks pretty good mate, I'm not a fan of the portal thing on the nose but that might change with how you paint it up.

I wanted to still have it, mostly because I wanted to make sure that the 'Counts As' had all of the elements so people would recognize what it was. Since the Invasion Beam is a pretty big thing for the Scythe, I wanted it to be visible. My hope was to to place it in the grill of the Bommer, but the unit is too wide to fit inside, so I was forced to mount it in front.

Add to the fact that AdMech technology sometimes feel very jury-rigged, and I wasn't too upset with making it 'bolted on', as it were.

Fair enough. It has a very Gloster Meteor / Sud Vautour / maybe even Buccaneer feel to it I reckon.

Just checked out those first two planes. I agree, they have a similiar feel. I wanted to try and mesh alot of tech together, so i used the Tau wings off the Skyray. A little small, but with the engine turbines I think it came out nicely.

Update: Painting's nearly complete, to my clean-but-amateur'ish standards.
