Aha - my apologies.

Dont close it, its a good place to ask questions about it, and for people to learn.

So, in my case, i was merely going to use some legs and torso's and sculp onto them, then cast the product for my own use, very similar to what someone did with a steel legion force.

He took gw stuff, and a gw army, and scuplted onto modified arms/legs/torso's and didnt get flamed for it, so where is the difference for me?

or was it just because were not supposed to discuss it on here that my thread got closed?

Obviously we cannot stop people from doing this, however we cannot have it on this forum for legal reasons. Using gw products for casting purposes in any way is a breach of their ip and they will come after the forum if we allow it to stay on here. It is part of the forum rules and that is the end of the discussion. This particular thread has simply wandered too far for comfort.

You are free to create a thread discussing molding your own work and casting it, so long as it does not breach the ip of Games Workshop or anyone else likely to sue.

I'm shutting the thread down, and any future threads that do the same thing.

Closed.
