Tea. A good quality loose leaf Earl Grey. If you need anything else you aren't doing it right.

That applies to all things in life up to and including sex.

there is no such thing as mid painting snacks, the only thing you are allowed to consume while painting is brush hairs and pot water, Davinchi wasnt cracking out the BBQ to smoke a Brisket while painting the Mona Lisa !

Your saying youd like a loose leaf earl? dont you mean mean a tight bloody Mary?

Im worried about which side of the gate you swing on.....

back on topic however, i have a confession to make.

i am addicted to Dr Pepper, it is the best drink for when you are painting/working/gaming/sleeping, no doubt about that.

A bottle of Mexican Coca Cola and a Ribeye steak... I'm a butcher in San Diego, both are very easy to come by.

With all this mention of tea, this thread is so insanely British... let's Americanize a bit. I drink coffee, iced in summer.

I do NOT recommend Starburst, however. Yesterday I took a painting break, lay down in bed, and popped in a cherry starburst. Thing practically liquefied in my mouth and went straight down my windpipe. I almost fucking died. Oh God the pain. On the plus side, Reavers are looking good.

Any Stout/Porter or Whiskey depending on the mood. Never really eat/snack, but when I do, it's usually a hard candy to suck on like Werthers

This isnt strictly speaking food, but this is what I do all the time while painting. I've got some hot sweet tea of sorts (think orange or lemon), and I've got my painting stuff situated in front of a TV so I normally watch stuff as I paint, or listen to music. Or both.

*more recently with preparing for a family members open house I also like Izzi's sodas (seeing as I'm not old enough to drink), or doctor pepper*

Daytime painting:- A big mug of quality coffee with malted milk biscuits.

Evening painting:- Pint of Hobgoblin with a big bar of Galaxy chocolate.
