Default Completed pics from the Hobbit Boxset

I got this set in the first week of December 2012 and have been painting it solidly since. Two and a half months later I'm pleased to announce I've finished this project.

The interesting thing with this project is I've pain-stakingly produced high quality detailed tutorials for each of the Dwarves, Gandalf, Bilbo and the Goblins. I've invested a lot of time into this but it's been completely worth it based on the response I've received on Tale of Painters. The bottom line is there is now a resource for painters who buy this set, something that White Dwarf failed to address, or Games Workshop wanted to charge iPad owners for. We also have a few guides for Dark Vengeance. It's worth checking out our tutorials.

Nice, Garfy! Looks exactly as they were in-film. Excellent as usual, I'll have to check the tutorial on those Gobs to get that skin tone recipe!

Strange, but not a Stranger.

If you could see my face right now I wouldn't have to write that I am impressed!

Well I'm certainly going to be looking at your blog more, I've seen it now and then but I never realised there were how to paints, and they finish with good quality minis afterward. As usual stunning.

But what about those brilliant paint guides in the paint splat section?

Me: To be honest im amazed there isn't a chaos god of not revising or at least chaos god of procrastination

MidnightSun: There will be, when enough people do it. Y'know when the Eldar were all engaging in their hedonism and Slaanesh ripped open the Eye of Terror with his creation? Slaanesh will have NOTHING on the God of Procrastination, and his vile minions will carve the galaxy asunder in a thousand year reign of blood.... Tomorrow

Wow. Excellent work. Obviously. I'm a bit sad that Radaghast doesn't have his bunny sleigh from the film. Now THAT would be a fun conversion project!
