Default Iron Warriors Daemon Prince (WIP + Pics)

So I've decided to get back into an Iron Warriors army and resurrect the army I began this great(ly expensive) hobby with!

After a few days work on and off this is my first conversion/kitbash I've done with a fair amount of greenstuff work (as far as I'm concerned with being "fair amount" xD )

The kits used to make him are:

Daemon Prince-
Left Arm
Right Shoulder Joint

Space Marine Dreadnought-
Right Arm
Arm Guard

Chaos Rhino-
Storm Bolter

Chaos Defiler-

Shoulder Pads

There is still a little work I would like to do such as deciding whether to add the wing pieces to the engines and adding a pipe connecting the two engines together and covering up the joints on the back. Also debating whether the jetpack is a little too big for the model, but looking at the size of the DP wings it doesn't look too far off.

The head and tabard are stuck on with blue tack so if it seems they're about to fall off, they probably are

Enough Ranting!

Picture time! Comment/Critique welcome!

I like that alot, there is a great blend of daemon and machine and that is very iron warriors.

I am ambivalent about the jetpack; it looks oversized from some angles.

Apart from that an excellent conversion.

I agree with Dave that the jet pack looks a little out of proportion but overall this is a top drawer conversion. well done

Thanks all

yeah i agree about the jetpack, it's weird, from the front it looks fine, same with the back, but I think the problem is it's too far from the back so it looks almost separate from the rest of the body. Might rip it off and try to remold it to make it look closer and more part of the rest of the body.

Thanks for the input :D working on some obliterator conversions now, pics of those to come soon!

I think the jump pack is a tad high, maybe lower it a bit. Another thing to do to emphasise the marine/daemon/machine hybrid that an Iron wariors daemon prince is is to take a dremel and cut insets into the fleshy parts, and insert guitar string, and then use liquid green stuff to fill any gap, as that will give it a "technoorganic" look.

The model looks pretty good, though, I want to see it painted.

check out the entropic reaper or remain a vagrant on the sidewalk of life.
