Default Garfy paints a Storm Talon + scale shots against other fliers

I posted this on Tale of Painters yesterday. There are also WIP blog entries the past week if you're interested in how I painted the Storm Talon. If you just came here for the pics then wait no longer...

On a side note, my photography is really coming on in leaps and bounds with this home studio flash kit and DSLR. Really crisp, sharp, bright pictures. Maybe almost magazine quality.

Looks great Garfy. The side by side picture of the raven and talon does make the talon look a bit silly size-wise... But that's not your painting or modelings fault :D

A sidenot on your flash-setup however. If you are going to be using speedlights (like you are in thise shot), you should aim them to avoid getting reflection on the cockpit windows. If you are aiming for magazine shots that is.

Depending on the model of speedlight you get, you can even put them inside the lightbox, aiming towards one of the walls with the white bounce-card up. This will stop any direct light from the flash reaching the cockpit. Or just angle them slightly differently once you notice you are getting reflections.

I had an AMAZING time at fightclub.

I arrived a bit late, so I missed the introductions, but man... I had an awesome time at fightclub! 10/10 I would recommend fight club to anybody!

Don't know what people have against fliers. the storm talon is such a cool looking unit, i love the idea of a proper looking gunship.

Amazing paint job !

Very nice looking paint job, even if I don't like the way the storm talon that much. But with the missile pods in place I looks much better. Great weathering and generally an all round great looking model.

Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.
