The "shop" solution that was given to me was Basecoat, dry brush denheb stone, dry brush white.

Not sure how it goes with the new paints but I do know the white is 100000 times better now.

The other one I have done with good results is use a Tamiya spray white, then an acrylic gloss clear coat then a blue/black oil wash.

I think there is a tute on heresy somewhere too.

Is there anything specifically going wrong?

2 coats of ceramite white. nulan oil wash, leave it in the recesses with another round of ceramite white.

white is a doddle now, since the new paints.

Ive started to update this project loge again, you should all check it out. it has some stupid things on it, and some fun things on it haha

yeah thats close to what i have already attempted, but i found as soon as you add a bit of water to the ceramite white to thin it down it stops covering at all, do you just put it on without thinning the paint down?

ive never thinned my base colours down. just spread the paint thin enough it won't obscure any details.
