Default What a difference 15 years make!

Hi folks,

I was rifling around my loft the other day and came across an old box of warhammer. Most were too badly vandalised to salvage but found this one!

I painted the one on the left when I was 8, the one on the right about a year ago so about 15 years difference.

Sorry the picture quality is bad but just wondering if anyone else has any blunders they wanna share?

And then another 15 years after that and it'll start reverting back to the 8 year old version

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has though and purpose which functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bio-engineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if it is aware of us at all, it must know us only as Prey."

If there is, a single model will probably cost a grand.

Nope, sorry! It will in fact be made of dreams and the model will move with the will of its owner.

back on topic i think the comparison is great, i remember how my models looked with my first army back in 2nd edition it pretty much looked like i dipped my ultramarines in the paint pot them used white out to paint the shoulders, nowdays its pretty much the same but i throw on a badab black wash and it looks professional all joking aside im interested in seeing if others have any of their old models and the now/then, before/after paint jobs unfortunately i have none to contribute myself but its a great idea for a thread
