Default Adeptus Sororitas, First try at painting them

This is my first try at painting a Sororitas model, was wondering what the forum goers thought of it and/or if anyone has any pointers on improving the look of it.
I have used a combination of foundation and basic paints, as well as various inks. All totaling 27 different colors.

Looks good

Nice tidy paintjob and good colours. The only thing i would suggest is brightening up the reds on the cloth to make them bit richer, and some more depth on the face.

Hi, great effort. So what have you painted previously?

My advice, (and it's only what I'd do). On the silver maybe a touch more shading , together with an extra highlight around the tops and edges. For a last highlight on the gold you could add a 1:1 Burnishing Gold/Mithril Silver highlight.

I second the notion on the reds. But so as to work on what you've already done, maybe a touch of Vermin Brown in the raised areas (although it looks as though you may have done that).

As for eyes, practice is the only cure if eyes bother you. But if you're happy that's all that matters right?

I usually don't do much painting, spend more of my time building (converting mainly) models for myself, friends, and family. I more or less picked up the brush recently within the last few years. Been painting a friends Iron Hand Marines and the few Tyranid models of mine I've completed assembly for.

Are you referring to the silver of the bolt gun or all of it on the model? For the bolt gun i did a boltgun metal coat with a badab black ink wash, the best i can think of for a highlight for it would be i guess chainmail along some of the edges? I will have to try the gold highlight out, painted it with a mix of shining gold/ mithril silver (1 to 1) then used a devlan mud wash.

I'm liking the crimson color of the robes, to me it suits the model more with the black armor. I did however use blood red on the highest ridges of the cloth then once dry went over those same edges with red gore. I brushed it over the blood red to dull and blend it to the rest of the cloth, but did so thinly enough that the blood red still shows on the higher ridges.

As for the head i'm just going to prime it black and start it anew.

Besides the eyes I think it looks great. There is always room for a little improvement, but as you said you usually build and covert, this is a great looking model.
