Default Martyrs Wraith Chapter(not finished)

So it's a chapter idea I put together from my Phantom Knights as successor but officially and to not make the fluff police come running, most of there info is unknown to keep it canon. I wanted your guy's opinion on this. There inspired heavily by the Black Templars and I feel ashamed kinda for how similer they are lol

If the grammar sucks, I apologize

The Martyrs Wraith sometimes called the Martyrs Templars by Imperium citizens are a Loyalist Space Marines Chapter Founded sometime in the 35rd Millennium
with some records stating 781.35M but this is not confirmed. There gene-seed is completely unknown although it is believed there grand father chapter is the Ultramarines or the Imperial Fists due to there father chapter, the Phantom Knights have a unique very close but unknown relationship with the Ultramarines that dates back to the 30th Millennium despite there differences and with the Imperial Fists due to the Martyrs Wraith being stubborn like the Imperial Fist, operating and there dedication to the Emperor similar to the Black Templars. It is believed the Martyrs Wraith were created as a standing force to operate in the Seituo Region and to begin a crusade to bring the entire sector under Imperum control however recent records of there foundingsuggest the chapter may have been created to overthrow High Lord of Terra Goge Vandire however this is just a theory by the inquisition. In there first major engagement, there chapter saw extensive action during the Wars of Apostasy where they assaulted the Ecclesiarchal Palace and took heavy casualities, leading to most of there chapter being destroyed as a result however they would not falter and like the Imperial Fists, they would there ground. During one of the many charges, Vanguard Raithan Kal and his vanguard brothers were gunned down leaving only a few. Rathan Kal had taken a bolt round to his head losing his left eye and his power pack was damaged and had ceased to function yet despite all the pain and weight, he would refuse the doors of death's offer until he would slay the Emperor's greatest enemies. As he laid there in his own blood with his mind black as the void, a man in golden armor appeared before him, It was the Emperor who chose not to speak but to show him of the future before leaving Raithan in the darkness once more. Raithan had saw humanities greatest foes and vowed in his mind to destroy every single one in the name of the Emperor even if it would kill him. Raithan then suddenly arose from his presumed grave which a golden aura while faint flickered around his body for a moment then disappearing and letting out a roar
"I AM THE EMPEROR'S WRAITH MADE MANIFEST!"

before inspiring his brothers in cover to fight alongside him to the death in the glorious name of the Emperor! Raithan with his brothers fought for several hours inspiring his brothers to greater feats before finally passing out from the loss of blood and his bones beginning to break due to the weight of his amor. He was later recovered by the black Templars and was treated. When he arose, he demanded to see a black Templar chaplain to which Chaplain Levilicus appeared before moments later where Raithan explained his battle and the vision he encountered after being wounded, the chaplain then checked him for any corruption but found him pure of any taint and was baffled that there was a second Emperor's champion but Raithan refused that title seeing that he was kept alive solely by the will of the Emperor to kill the Imperium Greatest foes until his death and would not rest until his duty was done. He told the chaplain he believed himself to be the Emperor's Wraith for now and forever. Levilicus did not disagree as he saw the Emperor's touch within his eyes and within his power, he summoned High Marshal Sigenandus and decalaired Raithan Kal not as the Emperor's Champion but as the Emperor's Wraith, destined to slay the Emperor's greatest foes until death finally comes for him.

Raithan Kal was then told of his brothers exploits, Although his surviving brothers didn't breech the palace but with his help they were able to kill much of the leadership of the Brides of the Emperor, making them an easier target for there brother chapter. High Marshal Sigenandus then ordered Raithan Kal and the entire Martyrs Wraith chapter to stand down from the crusade as only 200 marines had survived the crusade thus far. Although Raithan Kal hated the thought of withdrawing, Chapter Master Ragnorok the Red Martyr, his surviving Vanguard Martyr's and Raithan himself knew if the chapter would survive, they would have to withdraw from the front in which they did and supported the Imperial Fists and Black Templars in support operation where combat is minimal. Raithan Kal spent most of the time recovering from his wounds.

Some History -

720.M36- The unova crusade - The Martyrs Wraith with the support of the newly formed Adepta Sororitas assault the world of Crussila where it's populace was corrupted by the run forces. during the climax of the battle, Chapter Master Ragnorok the Red Martyr is nearly killed by demon prince, Koliza Jul and is avenged when Raithan Kal single handily slays the demon prince. Ragnorok is entombed in a dreadnought and Seraphis Azariah of the 1st company is chosen as the new chapter master.

728.M36- The Martyrs Wraith with the Adepta Sororitas destroy the Alpha Legion Chaos warband Hexero however the "Martyrs Curse begins" as the Martyrs Wraith take heavy casualities due to the chapter relying too much on Raithan Kal.

730.M36- Half of the 1st company is almost completely destroyed after facing countless nurgle zombie hordes. Only after Raithan Kal support and inspiration does the 1st Company survive the onslaught. The World of Gelvius is bombarded and becomes a dead world.

820.M6- Seraphis Azariah leads Imperium forces during the defense of Hyucle II during a WAAGH invasion, in the battle 6th and 9th company is completely destroyed along with the Imperium defense line about to crumble until Raithan Kal slays the Ork Warboss in single combat. The following WAAGH falls apart as the orks begin massacring each other for power. Seraphis Azariah leads the Imperium Forces to victory and destroys the Orks however Seraphis Azariah give the credit to Raithan Kal for the victory.

900.M36- Martyrs Wraith,Adepta Sororitas and the Imperial Guard face the Black Legion and the Thousand Sons on the forge world Octarius, despite the advantage and Raithan Kal slaying many champions of Chaos causing disruption and panic, many brothers fell and the Martyrs Wraith were forced to make a hasty withdraw and were not able to withdraw all there brothers, Raithan Kal was one of them but did not look as a curse but a blessing, a day to finally die in the name of the Emperor. He rounded up as many of his brothers as he could as they made a last stand against the rune powers. Against all odds they survived the battle but only with Raithan and only a few of his brothers still alive but were critically wounded and were treaed by the Adepta Soritas. Raithan finally say his chapter as cowardice and they had lost faith in the Emperor that he would guide and protect them just as he did. Raithan had the surviving brothers return to the chapter after declaring them the title of Emperor's Vanguard. When Asked, Raithan answered saying he would not return to there chapter until there chapter became strong again without the need of his strength. The Emperor's Vanguard honored his request and left and when they returned, they had told the chapter there greatest warrior had died valiantly. Secretly the Emperor's Vanguard would transit the chapter's position to Raithan in ever case he would want to return to the chapter.

Raithan took a small craft and adventured into the voids of space, guided by the Emperor he would hunt down the Emperor's greatest foes.

177.M37- Kilov Crusade

221.M37- Raithan's craft entered warp-jump but his craft had been caught within a warp-storm and after fighting off multiple entities, Raithan pulled off a dramtic warp-exit maneuver with the craft bursting out of warp-space 1,000 years into the future but to make things worse, Raithan had changed as his skin began to rip open as his flesh began to decay as the pain was unbearable but he also gained supernatural strength and durability. He would not let himself be droven insane by it's pain, not until he faced the Emperor's ultimate enemy and slew him.

245.M37- after an unknown forge world is discovered, under unknown circumstances, the High Lords of Terra have the Martyrs Wraith assault the forgworld and surpringly is brought under Imperial Control within days which pleases the high lords. After much discussion, the high lords agree to give the world to the chapter after the chapter had lost many battle brothers and it's battle barge on the oath that they will support the Imperium. After spending time on this forge world with it's culture stuck in the late medieval/Victorian era, They decide to use it to train, gain new recruits as well as produce new weapons, vehicles and armor for the chapter and the Imperial. They decide to name the planet after there greatest hero, Raithan Kal for his dedication to the chapter and the Emperor

250.M37- Wishing to gain his chapter's honour again, Chapter Master Octollus Azomium sends all the companies out into the Imperim as stand alone forces to combat the various threats that threaten the Imperium. The 1st company as well as the Chapter Master stay on Raithan to train new recruits for future companies and keep order as well as the most skilled tech-marines begin there work on repairing and master crafting weapons and armor for future generations.

252.M37- The Ork invasion of Guilen - The Talos Company with the Imperial Guard drive the orks off world after six months of fighting

255.M37- The Dark Eldar clan "Lioloth" ambush and destroy most of the Talos Company and captures the remaining and forces them to fight to the death in arena's. The survivors hold out for eight months

256.M37- The Emperor's Wraith Laelianus Kregur leads the Devona and Egnar orders into battle against the Lioloth clan and completely destroys the clan in avenging there brothers. The bodies are recovered and laid to rest of Raithan.

277.M37-690.M37 - The Laelianus Crusade - Led by an Imperial fleet, Laelianus Kregur leads six orders of the chapter into unknown space and conquers overs two hundreds planets in the name of the Imperium and becomes the only Emperor's Wraith forced to take command after the orders leadership was destroyed during the many years and battle. Eventually Laelianus becomes a talented strategist as well as a warrior over the years and even removes the admiral after he shows weakness in his faith and the crusade. Leading six orders and the Imperial for nearly one hundred and fifty years, he conquers one hundred planets before finally dying after his organs had begun to fail him.

999.M37 - During the 8th Black Crusade, Two orders fought to defend the forge world of Rithcarn against the black legion but were routed eventually off planet after staying behind in cities to help evacuate Imperial Citizens.

225.M38 - Raithan Kal returns to real space and learns from the Emperor's Vanguard's descents(not literally as biological) that they have taken a world as there chapter home world but keep to there duties as crusaders in the name of the Emperor and to prove there worth to him and Raithan Kal.

226.M38 - Raithan Kal sectrely comes to Raithan and is welcomed by the descents of the Emperor's Vanguard that had fought besides him over a Millennium ago, They had told him of current affairs as well as the history of the chapter while he was not current for. While Raithan Kal was convinced the chapter had lifted the "Martyrs Curse" and had begun serving the Emperor as he had always, Raithan Kal still believed the chapter was not ready for his return but instead of leaving, The Emperor's Vanguards led him to a chamber unknown to anyone else of the chapter where Raithan Kal entered stasis, telling his warriors to wake him when the Emperor's Greatest Foe appears there he will lead the chapter into one final battle.

551.M38- The Lionis War - Raithan is split into a civil war as a mysterious warlord unites nearly half the planet under his banner and claims the Martyrs Wraith are imposters. The Fortess Monestatary is stormed and after six months of fighting, Martyr Commander Schaeffer Limardi is finally killed in battle and the 1st Order is almost killed to the last man with only a handful surviving. The Emperor's Vanguards however manage to hold off the enemy far deeper into the fortress where there secret lies with the help of the survivors of the 1st Order and hold out until the entire chapter rained down from the skies as the angels of death. within hours, the fortress was retaken and went on the offensive, destroying all who opposed the chapter.(theres more lol)

790.M41 - The Shrine World of Haven is invaded by Hive Fleet Korra. four orders under the command of Vanguard Force Martyr Ligarius are sent in and hold out for six weeks with the possibility of being overrun. As the invasion worsened for the Imperium, The orders make there last stand at the Cerra Palace and in the fighting, The Emperor's Wraiths Draco Iseas is severely wounded and Argastes Melchert is killed when he was consumed alive by the swarms. After desperately holding out to the last man, the Orders are almost completely destroyed until an unknown chapter of space marines with a complete fleet of the Imperium behind them rain death from the skies. cladded in golden armor, the chapter is led a huge space marine cladded in artificer power armor, his head covered by a physic hood and with a thunder hammer with a blood cross glows violently in his hands, he lead his warriors into a frontal charge and riped apart the entire front with the hive fleet's ground force pulling a temporary withdraw while the Imperial Navy with along with the two Space barges begin there assault on the fleet while the Order of Vernetta smashes through the vassals with it's battle sisters through bordering ships.
Seeing there brothers fight on, Vanguard Force Martyr Ligarius reorganized his brothers and begins there offensive as soon as the golden warriors leaves, Ligarius asks there leader who they are, the mysterious leader hides face, only saying before leaving with his golden warriors.

"We are the Emperor's Chosen and am the Emperor's Divine Champion. We shall meet when the end times comes"

As soon as they had completed what they came to Haven to do, The Golden warriors used there Teleport homers and vanished with there vassels soon leaving as well. Vanguard Force Martyr Ligarius and with his orders and the rest of the Imperium Guard eventually manage to drive off the invasion force off planet after months of fighting with the hive fleet eventually being droven off.

800.M41- Hive Fleet Korra is driven yet again from another planet. The Emperor's Wraith Draco Iseas leads the Severutho Order, The Black Templars and the Order of Our Martyred Lady board the hive ship of the Hive Fleet Korra and completely destroy at the cost of the remnants of the Severuoth Order, half of the Black Templar's Crusading Force and portein of the Order of Our Martyred Lady force. Despite his order completely destroyed, Draco Iseas is found severely wounded but alive by the black Templars and is brought back to one of there strike cruisers.

Home World - Raithan

Raithan was a long lost forge world reclaimed by the Martyrs Wraith Chapter. Raithan is known to have somewhat of a identity crisis as though it's an advanced world that produces large amounts of technologies for the Imperium and the Martyrs Wraith, the culture of Raithan has stayed in a late medieval/Victorian settings. It's common for society to dress in Victorian era clothing yet act like they live in a medieval world with counts and warlords fighting for political power and sending there knightly orders to destroy there enemies but to the people living on Raithan, they know the true rulers are the Martyrs Wraith chapter. While the chapter runs the world directly and keeps order and productivity up, they will not stop all wars as they produce viable recruits for the chapter. As a result the world does not pay the Imperium's tithes as they contribute directly towards the upkeep of the Chapter who in returns keeps order and productivity up. The Chapter and it's astartes are worshipped as demi-gods, serra angels that go out into the voids of space and crusades against the Emperor's enemies and often small shrines and statues of war will be built in there own honour although the chapter heavily enforces the Emperor is above him and must be respected before even them. Every three years, the chapter holds the Emperor's tourney to officially gain new recruits for the chapter, It is very common for dynasties and noble families to put there sons in the tourney so they can bolster they have had a child in there ranks before. It's also common for the youngest to retry multiple tourney's to gain entry in the chapter although this is rare.

Organization and Ranks

The Organization is quite similar to the Black Templars as Every Company is completely independent and is responsible for recruiting, training and there own equipment and vehicles to an extent and are called orders. These companies often called Order can be anywhere from 100 members to a thousand if not more however it is impossible to tell since the entire chapter is constantly on the move crusading in the Imperium to hunt down and destroy it's enemies. An Order is commanded by Vanguard Martyr then his command structure or as the squad leaders are his Templar Veterans following the standard Veterans and there squads. Sometimes a Emperor's Vanguard or an Emperor's Wraith can be in the company and while they hold no true power in the company, there word is highly respected and often second in command although most hate these leadership positions.

Squires- Neophytes basically but have received all implantations and stay squires for years unlike regular scouts and Neophytes. They are appointed to a Veteran SM and help in all matters from cleaning and maintaining there armor and weapons to running orders and messages to other squads. They are not put into there own company.

Veteran - Standard rank for the chapter but are considered veterans by other chapters as most with this rank are 200-300 years old and have mastered all forms of combat. They fill all roles

Templar Veteran - Veterans who is currently in a crusading company and has been crusading for years and have gained enough experience to be sergeants or sometimes captains. They are often 500-700 in years

Vanguard - Veterans which are basically like the Emperor's Champion with reciving visions from the Emperor or some form of Divinity however these SM's are often put into regular squads where they are used to assault where the enemy is thickest, to hunt down and eliminate the leaders or to shatter defense lines. They are often the most skilled and deadly SM's in the chapter. There age can be anywhere from 100- 700 years in age

Vanguard Martyr - A veteran who has served in a Vanguard unit for centuries and survived so many battles while also showing extensive leadership abilities to keep his brothers alive that he has been given control of the Company. They are the living avatar/saints of the chapter and are esstianly captains to other chapters. Age can anywhere but are usually old

Emperor's Vanguards - A very small unit comprised entirely of Space Marines that are the direct descents of the orginal Emperor's Vanguard that fought alongside Raithan Kal. The Emperor's Vanguard act as a council to the Martyr Commander as they give there word on what Raithan Kal would of done in the current situation. They also work as chaplains, spreading the work and wisedom of Raithan Kal to the brothers of the chapter to remind them to what they must live up to and become even better. A Emeror's Vanguard is made when an existing Emperor's Vanguard takes on a squire(Not usually but anyone from the chapter they deem worthy) and teaches them the wisdom of Raithan Kal and the Emperor as well as mastering his combat style and methods. They are also taught to be the next spiritual leaders of the chapters as well as chanting the Chapter's sacred battle creeds, and inspiring their brothers to greater feats of bravery. unlike most of the chapter, they don black armor similar to the Emperor's Wraith taking on the look as a Dark Knight. they carry on the legacy on Raithan Kal and only do they know the true story of there legendary hero.

(Raithan Kal as an Emperor's Wraith)
Vanguard Champion/Emperor's Wraith - Are Vanguards that have turned down promotion to Vanguard Champion in favor of bringing glory to the Chapter almost exactly like the Black Templars Emperor's Champion however they keep there tittle usually till death. While an Emperor's Wraith is rare and share no power, most space marines of the chapter will consider there words and actions as heavy as the Martyr Commander as they often have the same experience in battle and war but have also been touched by the Emperor himself which can cause damage to the chapter at times. As with the Emperor's Champion, they don there armor black and gold as the Emperor's colors with the Emperor's symbol on there shoulders, only keeping there shoulder pads the color of there chapter's primary color.

Martyr Commander(prob come up with a better name) - Is the chapter master of the chapter, only a Vanguard Martyr can become a Martyr Commander and there is only one at a time obviously lol

Chapter Combat Doctrine-

The Chapter fleets has honed the ability to have entire solar systems surrender at the sight of there vassals as to either put terror or awe into the face of the enemy. If this doesn't work they often attacked by a bombardment staged by strike vessels or battle barges in orbit over and enemy positions.

Once on the ground by either drop pods or thunder hawks, The chapter will often enter close combat often with power weapons and steam roll the enemy after shattering the weakest link in there defense line or might just perform a head on assault if lead by an Emperor's Wraith

Chapter Beliefs-

The Chapter respects the Emperor above all others but do not worship him as a god however they do believe the Emperor guides the chosen few of the chapter to lead the chapter to the Emperor's greatest foes to be slain. Because of this, the members of the chapter often believe the Emperor will protect them when they launch there assaults so stealth tactics are often frowned apon. They equally respect all the primarches as they do not know which primarch they originate from. Since they believe they are the Emperor's Wraith, they take great pride in their badge and livery, some take this pride to such an extreme they regard anything that hides them as a form of cowardice and is common mock battles to happen between chapters. One of the major points is that the Martyrs Wraith pay more respect to there heroes then the Emperor and the Primarches, especially Raithan Kal who became the first Emperor's Wriath and will often spend hours preying and respecting the fallen as well as the heroes of the chapter.
Lastly the chapter takes on what Raithan Kal did in his life time and take his actions very seriously to the point where the chapter firmly believes he's the greatest warrior to come out of there chapter and is one of the mightiest of the space marines to live and will fight to defend his honor. As a result of respecting him, many members of the chapter look up to him as a role model, trying to be like him as well as study his history and combat style with his relic power claymore. Many believe him to be dead however a few believe the Emperor's Wraiths are reincarnations of him to which the Emperor's Vanguard frown upon.

Wargear-

it is common for the chapter to have master cafted weaponry and even rare weapons such as an abunce of power swords and powered combat shields and other equipment. The Chapter does not have terminator suits since they enjoy the agility and speed of regular suits, as a result they have a large collection of artificer power armor either built on the frontlines over years of fighting or from Raithan. As with there father chapter, they have access to Mark 8 Errant armor in which there veterans often use while Vanguards often use older marks and Templar helmets designate there rank. Before battle however all weapons and armor are blessed so they might strike true and avoid the worst situations.

Chapter Relics -

Phantom Mark Artificer Armor "Praetorate" - Is the artificer armor of the Voldemort Titus Victorinus. The Praetorate lays its origins in the great crusade where it was a completely new mark of power armor that was designed and built for one of the legions but unknown to who. This new mark Armor only known as the Phantom Mark Armor by the Ultramarines and there father chapter, the Phantom Knights is an advanced MK II suit designed to be less protective then the standerd MK II and MK III but the user is extremely lightweight and with a dozen new features built in the armor, made the suit extremely effective in refined close quarters combat. The most advanced and notable feature was the Burst system in the helmet where activated, a machine would alters the user's brain and bring the user enter into a state of enhanced awareness and peak physical ability. While in this state, the Astartes demonstrates heightened reflexes and extremely quick information processing where they go far beyond there mental and physical(not strength wise though)limits. This ability is usually triggered by will by Astartes who have heavily meditated before battle so they don't lose control or by unitently by extreme combat situations or from recalling significant traumas, often triggered to protect a vital position from overwhelming odds, to destroy a powerful enemy or failing to protect a brother who had died.

Excabilur - A supremely master crafted Paragon Blade Mark Relic Power Sword who's origins stats it was crafted during the Great Crusade on Torionis who's location has been lost to time while it's crafter is completely unknown although some ancient records state it was crafted by a primarch with the help of an long destroyed xeno warrior race. The Excaliblur when activated, extends energy blades on each sides of the blade becoming a physical and beam weapon. The full extent of this sword's power is completely unknown as few have wielded it in combat since it's creation and fewer have lived long enough to experience it's full power. Voldemort Titus Victorinus currently wields it after there father chapter, the Phantom Knights gifted it to him for his service with the Emperor and with the chapter.

Notable Marines

Voldemort Titus Victorinus

Voldemort Titus Victorinus known throughtout the Imperum as 'The Emperor's Chaplain" and "The Emperor's Will and Wraith" is the current Martyr Commander of the Martyrs Wraith. Like Lord Commander Dante of the Blood Angels, He is one of the most longed lived, most experienced and one of the most able of the Adeptus Astartes Despite the fact he is the first Martyr Commander in two millennia to personality led his chapter from the front and actively lead on the battlefield. It is unknown how old he is but some records hold him 1,300 years old but these few reports are unreliable, it is best to rival Lord Commander Dante in age however. Voldemort is one of the few Chaplains out of the entire existence of the Astartes race to become a Chapter Master of a chapter and it quite shows in him. Voldemort Has been the only Astartes in the history of the Martyrs Wraith to receive the Emperor's Vision and declined to become an Emperor's Wraith so that he could properly manage and lead his chapter as the current Martyr Commander and as a result, he is often called the "Emperor's Will and Wraith" by many of his race.

Voldemort is like many of his brothers has became zealous, cold blooded towards most and stubborn to the point of no return. The man trust no one besides his brothers and shows no respect to those he deems unworthy or hasn't his respect as he is a man of action and of little of words. As a Martyr Commander, he is severe as well as fearsome while he has a commanding presence. Voldemort is harsh with his subordinates brothers and peers and is merciless to his enemies, even more so then then most Astartes. On the battlefield, his is known for his cuss sharp mouth and is highly combative for his brothers, often leading those into battle against impossible odds just to completely destroy the enemy and shows of his fiery violence especially towards enemies or his brothers if theyfail to live up to his high standards and staunch adherence to his "survival of the fittest" philosophy. He shares no mercy or tolerance for any weakness or willpower in the enemy or brothers as he will not hesitate to kill them especially if there faith of the Emperor is not strong and has done this many times with Imperium Forces and even few times with fellow chapters. Voldemort is extremely perceptive and adaptive as he is able judge person or action to take next that will lead to the best result. Despite being harsh however, Voldemort does know his own weakness and know his limitations as he understands he
requires the support of his brothers and other men and women of the Imperum in order to succeed and, though Voldemort understands that sacrifice is often a necessary part of his endeavors, never forgets the weight and impact that each person has on the world. As such, Voldemort takes his commanding role very seriously and has earned the undying loyalty his brothers with his leadership approach to lead on the front. For all those he respects and for those he leads, he is a selfless individual, prone to taking great risks in order to protect the lives and well-being of those who have placed their trust in him even if it would risk in his death.

Ragnorok the Red Martyr

Founder and Fist Chapter Master of the Chapter, Was originally Captain of the 1st Company of the Phantom Knights.Ragnorok was widely known throughtout the Imperium by it's citizens and was regarded as a Martyr as he would often put his own life on the line to save Imperial Lives and would never a brother or an Imperial Citizen behind and would often survive battles where most die, eventually he believed the Emperor had guided him and any who followed him to safety. When a new chapter was to be founded, Ragnorok volunteered to lead this chapter believing the Emperor had wanted him and brothers like him to travel across the Imperium and protect it's citizens. Ragnorok was considered old fashion, stubborn but yet honorable which earned the respect of many Astartes he would meet. Ragnorok was Oath Brothers with Raithan Kal and shared close bond as a result even for Astartes standards. During the Unova Crusade, Ragnorok was fately wounded during a battle with a deamon prince and was entombed in a dreadnought where even today he still serves.

Raithan Kal- Already explained lol

The first Emperor's Wraith that became famous during the Terran Crusade when he suffered multiple wounds such as
taking a bolt round to his head losing his left eye and his power pack was damaged and had ceased to function. It saids after he was gunned down and laid on the ground wounded that he received a vision of the Emperor's greatest foes that posed the greatest threats to humanity. It is said Raithan then vowed to the Emperor he would he would hunt down these enemies and slay just as Sigismund did but would not stop until he would die. Raithan then suddenly arose from his presumed grave which a golden aura while faint flickered around his body for a moment then disappearing and letting out a roar and inspiring his brothers in cover to fight alongside him to the death in the glorious name of the Emperor. Raithan with his brothers fought for several hours inspiring his brothers to greater feats before finally passing out from the loss of blood and his bones beginning to break due to the weight of his amor. He was recovered by the Black Templars, treated and declared the Emperor's Wraith by a Chaplain of the Black Templars after being told of his experience. Following the Terran Crusade, Raithan Kal fought on many fronts with his chapter slaying every leader, every champion in single combat until he one day he exiled himself from his chapter felt as his chapter relied to much on his strength to bring victory to the Imperium. Raithan Kal decided he would leave his chapter by self exile and hunt down the Emperor's greatest foes on his own.

Severus Maxatis

At 700 years old, is The Emperor's Wraith of the Reclomus Order and is renown as being zealous, cold blooded stubborn as a black Templar. Severus is a horrifying sight even for an Astartes as he takes every action very seriously. Some say he fights as a world eater, ripping apart the Emperor's enemies and leaving nothing but the blood and the entrails on his armor. Severus was known to have worked with the Black Templars on multiple battles and is highly respected by them. His chapter worries he's became more of a black Templar then there own as he discarded the chapters liverly and color in exchange to wear the Emperor's colors but everyone his dedicated to the Emperor and being his wraith is surpreme. Recently he has disappeared however

Seraris Catavos

The Emperor's Wraith of the Erivaa Order, Seraris exploits are legend on Raithan is considered the second coming of there founder,Ragnorok the Red Martyr. A man extremely dedicated to the Emperor as his wraith but also staying dedicated to his chapter, he has inspired his entire chapter in hundreds of battles and becoming a legend of his chapter, to charge into the heart of the enemy but yet risk his own life to save his brothers or rescue any citizen incapable of defending himself. Known throughout the Imperium as a Hero to the common man while being honorable and following a code of chivalry. He has recently disappeared however.

Draco Iseas

The Emperor's Wraith and sole survivor of the Severutho order. Draco became renowned for boarding and leading the entire Severutho Order into the hive ship Hive Fleet Korra with the Black Templars and the Order of Our Martyred Lady aid and with the Severutho Order's sacrifice, the Hive ship was completely destroyed at the destruction of the Entire order with only with Draco surviving although it is unknown how he survived. After Hive Fleet Korra was driven off and his entire order destroyed, Draco Iseas decided to depart for Cadian with the Black Templars and the Order of Our Martyred Lady and is currently fighting with both in the 13th Black Crusade. Draco been accused by the Inquisition as being corrupted by chaos for calling the Emperor "The Corpse Emperor" and does not pay respect to the primarches, only respecting those who he had fought with and earned his respect. He like Severus he is cold blooded, zealous stubborn and terrifying sight for many but he is an honorable man and takes his vows and oath's very seriously.

Amadeus Thorn

Is the half dead 900 year old Emperor's Wraith of the Farah Company before it was completely destroyed along with a half of a Company of Imperial fists. It was presumed for years that he had died in the final assault on the Chaos fortress on Muslio with the Farah company and an Imperial Fist company. After the gates were tore off, He led his order and the Imperial fists deep into the fortress until finally facing a a greater deamon of black and white. Leading his brothers into battle, they fought on heroically inflicting mortal wounds on The greater demon however it had destroyed the order, nearly destroyed half of the company of the Imperial Fist before killing Vanguard Martyr Farah before mortally wounding Amadeus himself. Similer to Raithan, he watched his entire order fell while being mortally wounded himself. no matter how many times he was struck down and continued to bled out, he kep rising and continuing to inspire his imperial fist's brothers to feats of greater feats until he personal led the final assault knowing he will most likely die in the assault. It is not known what had transpired in the final assault but what it said he had cleaved the monster in half before nearly dying of his wounds before the Apothecaries had treated his wounds. Amadeus wounds were horrifying even for his race and many believe he would not die as multiple organs began to fail and would require implants to continue his duty. The Apothecaries offered Amadeus "The Emperor's Peace" as they believed he not survive the surgery required to save him but Amadeus only cussed at them say

"There can never be any peace, only war and am the Emperor's Wraith, I shall only lay my sword down for when the Emperor's greatest foes lay dead below my feet!"

Seeing the fires in his eyes, the Apothecaries began the surgery and while it might of killed any mortal man or even an Astartes, Amadeus's will refused to let him die despite never feeling such pain. After many surgeries, Amadeus was more machine then man but despite this, he arose and after a short while to adapt to his body, he would continue to serve the Emperor as the Emperor's Wraith. Seeing his order destroyed and with no way of communication with the chapter, the Imperial Fists offered Amadeus to come with them and to lead them into battle as the Emperor's Wraith as he had earned there respect through sacrifice. Amadeus agreed and departed with the Imperial Fists. Until recently, he was presumed KIA until he was spotted leading the Imperial Fists into battle during the 13th Black Crusade and making contact with Draco Iseas with the Black Templars.

Amadeus is a typical member of his chapter, very honorable and stubborn yet he is like an howling griffon where it is common for him to oaths and vows he intends to complete. Despite his order being destroyed, becoming an Emperor's Wraith and now serving with the Imperial Fists, he had chosen to keep his chapters colors and symbol as well as adding the symbols of the Emperor's symbol and the Imperial Fist badge a show of respect for both sides. Although it is unclear where he comes from, many Imperial Fists that have fought with him, consider him a true son of Dorn and a worthy brother to die alongside.

Just gonna go ahead and pick through what you have here:

I don't quite understand the martyr part of the chapters name. Martyr's are those who die for religious beliefs.

The wraith portion is cool though, wraiths are supposed to be the last sight before death and all.

So which founding are they? 35th millenium gives you a few options, 10th through 13th foundings in facts.

Other than Helbrecht and some of the senior members of the Black Templars, its unlikely that anyone truly knows how large the Black Templar chapter is. At best their would just be speculation and rumour, which is why the inquisition has never been able to sanction them for supposedly violating one of the bigger tenets Guilliman set down for the space marines after the scouring.

So if your gonna go down the route of them having more than a thousand marines, which is still a large number in and of itself, than I would include a rumoured number. Something like:

Strength = unknown, rumoured 3000

Why would people of the Imperium that have come across the Martyrs Wraith call them by another name? Why would most, if not all of them, not simply refer to them as space marines.

I don't think you need to include the loyalist bit.

Chapters which have close relationships with others doesn't necessarily mean they share lineage. Many chapters can trace their origins back to the Ultramarines, but will have good or decent relations with the Salamanders, Space Wolves, Raven Guard, or Imperial Fists.

The Great Crusade and subsequent Horus Heresy and Scouring occured during the 32nd Millenium. I'm afraid your going to need to rethink this one.

Having an MO similar to other chapters, least of all those of the founding legions or from the second founding, does not mean they share origins. The Mortifactors chapter uphold rituals and beliefs that might be reminiscent of the Space Wolves, but are in fact an Ultramarine successor.

A standing force is one that would watch over a number of sectors or region of space to keep it safe. Its rather hard to be both this and a crusading chapter; I would select one and stick with it.

Records indicating the chapters inception was to bolster forces and overthrow Vandire during the Age of Apostasy would, once again, lend credit to them being of the 12th or 13th foundings.

First, if they did take part in one of the more major conflicts of the age of apostasy than they would have records fo their founding/origins in some way.

Second, the 'like Imperial Fists but better' route is a bit of a shallow one. The Imperial Fists are the defenders of the Imperial Palace, and are one of the three most highly regarded of the founding chapters (likely second only to the Ultramarines for keeping the Imperium together post Heresy.)

This doesn't exactly have much of a place in the chapters background honestly. Also sounds like one hell of a vision.

A space marines blood clots in moments, unless it comes from a severe wound (like the carotid artery or a severed limb), and unless he is wearing terminator armour a marine can move in power armour without risk to his body. Unpowered power armour will encumber a space marine and severely slow him down, but he is not at risk of his bones breaking from the effort.

And terminator armour is so heavy that without its power source a wearer would not be able to move at all.

To be given the title of Emperor's Champion is a great honour, and why he would refuse this since the champion is tasked with doing exactly what Raithan intends to do.

And I don't get why a chaplain, let alone a Black Templar chaplain, would be at all surprised about Raithan seeing these visions and essentially taking on the mantle of an Emperor's Champion. At this point in time there would have been more than one during the history of the Black Templars, let alone other chapters, and it is not exclusive to them.

While he may be powerful and an inspiration to the chapter, how are they relying on him to the point that they are taking heavy losses because of it? Wouldn't his presence cause his brothers to fight on harder and achieve greater aims rather than fall in greater numbers?

First, why would the chapter leave some of their own if they were forced to fall back off planet?

Second, if the chapter fleet was forced to fall back because of something like overwhelming traitor reinforcements or a chance to attempt to defeat one of the Imperium's greatest foes (did they learn that the vengeful spirit, flagship of Abaddon the Despoiler, was in system and attempt to slay the warship and its master) then why did Raithan not know?

Were the Martyrs the only force to fall back, and why if they were?

If Raithan believed the chapter to spiritually be weak, why did he not return in order to guide them back?

Why did survive Martyrs hide the truth of Raithans whereabouts?

Also, at this point Raithan is about 2000 years old since the Age of Apostasy occurred early M36 and this conflict here occurred at the end of M37. Dante of the Blood Angels is more than a thousand years old and is noted as one of the oldest space marines, and this is keeping in mind that marines of Blood Angel descent do seem to live longer than those of other chapters.

226.M38 - Raithan Kal sectrely comes to Raithan and is welcomed by the descents of the Emperor's Vanguard that had fought besides him over a Millennium ago, They had told him of current affairs as well as the history of the chapter while he was not current for. How did Kal manage to contact these vanguard? How did he come to the planet with no one knowing? Was he met with suspicion and checked for signs of taint/corruption? This is someone who had been declared dead more than a thousand years ago at this point and with no one left from that time to support a claim of Kal being who he says he is. Why does anyone get close enough to believe him?

thanks for replying! I don't mind constructive criticism at all as long as your not be completely mean lol

Most citizens would see them as saints for there actions as there honorable as the space marines, stubborn like the Imperial Fists and there dedication to the Emperor on par as the Black Templars.

And wraith, I was thinking of Bradly from FMAB and another word for Phantom then I though of Wraith lol theres no real good reason for wraith lol

Founding, I actually forgot. I was not thinking about it exactly. I wanted to make some mystery with that but for canon fluff wise i'll have to do some homework.

Number wise I just put at that as if you were reading it from a wiki or from the codex, for in universe there suspected to have numbers similier to the Black Templars but like you said it's impossible to know.

ok funtime, don't freak out on me ok?....maybe?

The Phantom Knights Chapter is working in the same way as the Red Templars are the successors to the Black Templars. If you want a better answer, when the chapter was being created, The Phantom Knights volunteered and gave up a company. If you wanted an in universe fluff reason, I don't got one.

Now for the hersey reasoning and don't go all hersey police on me lol
(This isn't supposed to be known by anyone and in universe this will likely never be explained to keep it fluffy and canon. There gene seed fluff is like the Grey Knights where they don't know know where it comes from but they think it comes from someone.)

The Phantom Knights are really the remenants of the II legion also called the Phantom Knights who entered self exile about 120 years in the crusade after co-existing with a human-like warrior race they admired and believed they could be use in the Imperium. Of course the Emperor hates Xeno's and loves his belief of Humanities dominance without Xeno's in the picture. The Emperor could not change the Primarch's mind and believed he was a lost cause so he sent Lemon Russ and the wolves to destroy the II legend and the Skaviri race which they nearly did. The II legion fled after the II legion and it's primarch managed to have Lemon and his fall back there the II legion and it's primarch boarded there ships and ventured into the void in-self exile still loyal to the Emperor.

During the closing days of the hersey wth the Battle of Terra, the II legion briefly entered Imperial Space with the Primarch asked Rogal Dorm through unknown mean to overlook the Emperor's degree of the II legion and allow his warriors to fight for the Emperor one last time under the guise of his Legion, the Imperial Fists, Rogal Dorm at first hesitated but agreed as the Palace could fall at any moment and the fact he still considered him his brother. Following the Hersey the survivors under the guise of the Imperial Fist refounded the Phantom Knights during the second founding and since the II legion had been erased from all sources, there was no concern.

I know there's a lot of WTF in there, thats why most of the chapter information is unknown to keep it fluffy and canon as I ONLY know this and don't have any plans unveiling in the lore. The II legion supposed to close with the Ultramarines but they were not present during the Battle of Terra.

Primarch is unknown because they don't know unless you count the hersey fluff but then the chapter would still not know since all records of the II legion were destroyed

knowledgeable citizens sometimes mixed them up with the Black Templars. I just added it for more flavor lol

Gene-seed been explained already lol

There official father Chapter is unknown but some suspect due to there relations

sorry I meant the 31st Milennium, that's supposed to be completely unknown officially

unofficially one of the biggest secrets holded only by the Chapter masters by the Ultramarines is that the Ultramarines made a pact with the II legion during the Great Crusade that the II legion would conquer a world and the Ultramarines, would bring order, civilize it and make sure it's protected before leaving. The Ultramarines still watch over these worlds and know what happened to the Legion as well as the Imperial Fist.

alright I guess Crusading Chapter is fine

They do but not much, it's been 5,000 years basically since they were founded, records get lost lol

I didn't mean they do a better job then the Imperial Fist, I just meant they were very similar to the point they wouldn't give ground or withdraw even if it was smart to do so.

True Raithan Kal personal experience doesn't relate much tot he chapter history but I though it was important since it helped create one of there unique ranks within the chapter.

As for the vision, they don't really talk about it much from I remember so I thought I'd try something more dramtic lol

he was just wearing regular power armor and while he did fight, it was very sluggish and slow but am sure you agree that wouldn't stop most space marines from fighting even if they become near stationary turrents lol

good question, The Black Templars joined the battle to aid the chapter and they recovered him since there camp was closer by? does everything need a detailed answer lol

I always felt as if the only the Chaplains of the Black Templars would know for sure when knowing if a brother would receive a vision from the Emperor. I mean it is a Black Templar thing after all. Am sure am prob wrong.

I cant give an exact reason for that, I didn't think there could be multiple Emperor's Champions at once from the same chapter and I thought a space marines only stay as an Emperor's Champion until the battle/campaign ends or the Enemy's commander/champion is killed then they return to normal? I didn't think you were an Emperor's Champion until you died.

Technically I gess Emperor's Champion and an Emperor's Wraith is the same

Now this one is hard to explain but the easiest way to describe it is when the Chapter is fighting alongside Raithan, they are a STRONG united force fighting to the death and don't give ground or mercy while hes away the opposite happens when they give up ground and get routed easy and never fight hard enough, at least in Raithan eye's anyway.

The Chapter had to pull back quickly and was not able evacuate the entire chapter in the time they had or risk total destruction. I have not completely fleshed out history and was only a summary but what I thought, it would start as a simple assault to something much worse kinda like Dawn of War's story.. The Chapter had no idea of the Enemy Force that was coming.

Like I said, without Raithan, the chapter is weaker spiritually they don't fight as hard, get routed quickly, give ground easier and more cautious then the standard space marine.

When the Chapter departed to save itself from the coming war, Raithan's belief's were confirmed that his chapter had became weak as they relied on him to much to inspire them to do greater feats. Raithan believe's every space marine should not have to be inspired to fight like him or have the same will as him as they are the Emperor's servants. If they cannot fight on the same level as him then he believes they are not dedicated to the Emperor enough as he is.

(I cannot for the live of me type this right lol)
Raithan believed they needed to find it themselves like he did, he didn't want to hold there hands. Tough love. I never said Raithan mental was right lol

The Emperor's Vanguard are basically Raithan's disciplines who share the same beliefs and values as Raithan so they easily agreed to what he say.

as for hiding, many of there brothers died during that battle and not all bodies were recovered, the chapter while sadden would understand if his body was destroyed during the battle from his doing something. I cant see the chapter asking too many questions then.

I have never came up with an Age for Raithan but he wasn't around when the chapter was founded and was young when the Terran Crusade was happening and finshed. He only fight in the crusade a few battles before but the crusade was only a year if not smaller. I'd say he wouldn't be anymore then 100-400 years old during that time so then by 37M he be near Dante's age I'd wager like 1200 maybe? since he was cought in a warp storm technically he be like 2200 but physically similier to Dante

Whoops got the times mixed up lol

Really? Cant space marines request or given a world they conquered as a prize if doing a fine job? Would they really go out of there way in the world on the fringe of Imperium Space where it's out in the space booney's?

ok you got me on the Chapter Master and the 1st company staying on Raithan, at this time however there still not what Raithan Kal envisioned them to be. They also don't want to lose control of there planet but I like I said, you got me on that.

I'd would imangine they have Transponders or GPS like systems in there ships and vehicles in the 40K universe? we have them now lol I was going through the idea that the Emperor's Vanguard had Raithan Kal Position they knew the GPS signel from his ship until he was in a warp storm then it went haywire for a long time and was lost until he exited when the GPS signel began appearing again, they sent him a coded message explaining important things including a planet they taken as a chapter world. How he get there without anyone notiching? havnt figured out yet but id doubt it be that hard to be stealthy. Only the Emperor's Vanguard actually see him and keep it a secret especially after he enters stasis. The Emperor's Vanguard are also Chaplains so they would know I guess. I cant see a ultramarine throwing there primarch to the ground to see if he's not a corrupted demon in disguise if they didn't have his body but you make good points.

Raithan Kal does have Warp sickness, basically the same as the Legion of the Damned but he not corrupted. He knows this and wont live long, another reason he goes into stasis

"I am Honored to call every single one of you my brother.....You will die today, I will die today but if we must die for the greater good of humanity so be it.
