I dont think that LOTR makes anything like WFB or 40k, but if they weren't making money on it, surely it would have been pulled by now. I wish they'd bring out some new models, and im getting sick of not seeing enough in White Dwarf about it, hell this month, there wasn't anything at all about it! Im not a fan of the new sytems like War Of The Ring, I wish they'd go back to the old days of the simple, yet fun LOTR Strategy Battle game or whatever it was called, that was my first foray into the world of our hobby, and I regret not keeping with it, (as I had a 3 year gap where I just didnt play or model anything, as I discoverd girls and booze ). But thats just 1 mans opinion, and doesn't count for much.

I usually play 2 or 3 times a week. I usually buy some models once a month or so.

As someone who has heaped several tonnes of horseshit on LoTR,i played my first game of War of the Rings at the GW store Parramatta against one of the staff.

I won, i played Mordor Orcs and yes i won.

I loved it.

I will get a basic War of the Rings Army together of Mordor Orcs.

Who'd have thunk it.

So to the original question, GW is gonna get some folding out of me, so i guess they will make some profit out of this chimpanzee.

Ultramarines are Pussies

Except Dark Angels, any chapter that sounds like a Death Metal Band can't be that bad.

personally, im really looking forward to what GW ring out for the upcoming film of 'The Hobbit'. This, i think will increase profits for LOTR miniatures.

I think the store is supposed to let you win, thats how they ensnared me in Fantasy, only ended up selling it on again.
