Default Average game size

Hey, I'm thinking of getting into lotr, and I was wondering what's the normal point size for a game of both the strategy battle game, and war of the ring ( as in it's 1,500 or 2,000 in 40k)

Thanks in advance,

Zas

From the touneys play, 750 for the SBG, but you could just as easily make a 500 pt 'Heroes and Monsters' list for less than 50 bucks.

I am unsure about War of The Ring, but I would say 1000 points is about the equivilent of a 1500 pt 40K game: Reasonable, but it can be made bigger.

For Wotr a 1000-2000point game is good as it allows you to field a large-ish army.
I usually go with 2000points with my friend. The point system is different for Wotr as it isnot individual untis but a company of units(depends on type of unit). You can make games smaller but tht defies the point of Wotr which is to field big armies.

a good start for lotr is 300pts, as most boxes will cover half or most of those pts, so you only need add a hero and banner to a box and your away.

500pts is always what I prefered though for normal games, 750pts I always thought was a little cluttered, unless your playing sieges.

for war of the ring I suggest getting a lighter and burning the rulebook.

I always used to play 2000point battles for sbg.

Don't give me rep, just poke My Bum ... and then give me rep.
