How can you find a book that goes through 2 ages, thousands of years and uncountable numbers of characters slow. A film can never be made out of it, there is hust to much stuff in it. Worth pointing out that Del Toro is doing the Hobbit film, its out in 2011, and their is a follow up film about the time in between the two books out in 2012. The Silmarrillion is a book that is only for real fans of LotR and if you aren't you will think it is shit, mainly because it isn't actually a finished story but an edited copy of Tolkeins background scribbles. Ifyou like it I might suggest you also read Roverandom and Tales from the Perilous Realms, I would say that Unfinished Tales is good but even for me it is a bit to unfinished to be good, but each to his own. The Silmarillion is by far my fave of Tolkeins Books and probably me fave book ever, I would suggest to any fan to give it a read. The best Cahracters are undoubtably Haun and Morgoth for me, they could both kick Aragorn and his shittyself to hell ( he is my least fave in the entire series)
Do not disallusion yourself brothers, today we die, our bodies broken and our souls shattered, we will be remembered as corpses on a battlefield.Raise hell my brothers for one day our great Father will hear of our struggle, and he will be honoured to call us his Sons. In death our Glory shall become eternal.' Karik Farron, 1st Lord of the Dark Scorchers at the Fall of Kempar.
