Default The Hobbit's "Fellowship"

I am sure GW will make rules and figures for The Hobbit, but for those who can't wait... how would you make The Hobbit's "Fellowship" using current rules (and creative use of counts-as)?

My initial thoughts:

Thorin Oakenshield could be counts-as Dain Ironfoot.
Balin as Balin.
Gloin as Gimli.
Bilbo as Bilbo.
Gandalf the Grey as himself.

Rest of dwarves as either Dwarf Captains and/or Dwarf Warriors.

However, to represent the dwarves at the beginning of the journey maybe only Thorin Oakenshield would be the only dwarf that was a Hero.

List 2:

Warband 1
Thorin Oakenshield (counts as Balin w/ Durin's Axe)
12 Dwarves (various armaments)

Warband 2
Gandalf the Grey
Bilbo Baggins (counts as Samwise, so no Ring yet).

As the story/campaign continues, the figures could be upgraded to most costly units to represent experience gained.

I jotted down two ideas. The first list would represent them towards the end of The Hobbit, while the second list would be towards the beginning of the journey.

Interesting, when I get a spare minute or 30 I'll try and create my own house profiles and post them up here to share and get your comments on them.

Regards,
Jake.
