There are many parts of the film I view as favourite parts and for different reasons.

Action: Siege of Minas Tirith/Helms Deep, Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
Comedy: The kill competition between Gimli and Legolas throughout.
Suspense: The death of Boromir, the destruction of the Ring.

The Ambush at Amon Hen was perfection. The splintering of the Fellowship, Frodo grasping the enormity of his task; Sam's friendship and Boromir's redemption.

The start of FotR was awesome. Especially The Last Alliance!

"Wulfe gestured around at the strange metal buildings. He didn't like the angles, the proportions, the lines. They didn't look like any Imperial buildings he had ever seen, and that made them wrong."

Basicly any scene that does not involve Frodo or sam. But i liked the siege of Helms deep the most followed up by the siege of Minas Tirith

My favorite part of The Lord Of The Rings series is Two Towers. It contains a lot of breathtaking scenes like the Ents' Isengard siege and the Helm's Deep assault accompanied by amazing Howard Shore music!
