Default Your Favourite Hero?

So, who's your favourite hero in SBG or WotR and why?

Do you have multiple favourites? If so, who and why?

Maybe it's not a favourite hero as such, but a favourite style of hero?

Personally, Eomer is one of my favourite heroes to use in a game when I play as Rohan (SBG). He's just a good all round hero in my opinion, especially if mounted on a horse leading a charge of Rohirrim.

Another one of my favourite heroes is Gimli (SBG). For the points cost, you get a good balance of powerful attacks and high defence, which is important for holding off against enemies and packing a punch at the same time.

Regards,
Jake.

captains, you can have all the mega death heroes you want, but without a solid core of infantry and a captain you may as well quit

WotR is a pathetic system, so I will not comment on that further

To build on that point, I also find the lower point heroes very beneficial. Prime examples being Eowyn, Beregond and Damrod.

Jake.

Favourite in SBG has to be those heroes such as Gorbag, Shagrat, Murin, Drar etc. who all have that little extra character over captains of their race (as well as an extra Might Point) who stand out as a slightly higher ranking hero, but aren't as powerful as the likes of Aragorn, Sauron, Boromir, Gothmog etc.

I haven't played much, but I reckon Lurtz is a pretty decent character. Then obviously you have the biggies like Aragorn, the rest of the Fellowship, the Wringwraiths etc. I also had a liking for the King of the Dead.

I love Amdur. I just really enjoy using him when timed to perfection and leaving the other guy wondering where his hero and unit that was surrounding me just went. Funny as hell.

Also the idea of a walking swordsman badass appeals to me. Its not good enough to smash your opponent. You have to gut them in style.

I have recently started a new Blog. I would really appreciate it if you would LOOK AT IT

I like Gil-galad for his backstory in LoTR and The Sillmarillion, although I think they completely undersold him and Aeglos in the SbG rules (havent played WoTR). Therefore the only time I get to use him is under some homebrew rules and an increased points cost that my opponent has looked over and agreed to before hand.

Edit: I also like Dain, he's an absolute rock and doesnt cost near as much as some others (although I have to agree that Gimli is probably the champ when it comes to value-for-points)
