Default 2000pt GK Competitive List

So here is a list. this is what i came up with, but i have some questions about it that i will discuss. Give it to me straight, i can take it. Thanks!

HQ:
GK Brother-Captain w/ Halberd + MC upgrade, blind grenades, servo skull - 170pts
goes with pallies in storm raven. Here is my question. i know this guy wont be too bad, (give or take some weapon options) but i kind of want a CC monster that dosent cost 200+ pts, anyone got a stance on Crowe? he good? if i take him, should i change his entourage?

Elites:
x4 Pallies w/ DH, x3 halberds - 220pts
goes with brother-captain in storm raven

Troops:
5 Termies w/ DH, x4 Halberds, Psycannon - 225pts
goes in other storm raven
10 Strike Marines w/ DH, Halberd(Justicar), x2 Psycannons - 235pts
10 Strike Marines w/ DH, Halberd(Justicar), x2 Psycannons - 235pts
10 Strike Marines w/ DH, Halberd(Justicar), x2 Psycannons - 235pts
brunt of force, not much else you can do with these guys, i wanted to keep them cheap

Fast Attack:
Storm Raven w/ TL Multi Melta, TL Lascannon - 205pts

im so torn here. 6th edition all but requires some sort of air support if not atleast for anti-air defense. but they are Grey Knights! they miss their LRs.....

Heavies:
Psydakka Dread - 135pts
Psydakka Dread - 135pts
Im not sure about em anymore. i havent played 6th edition yet. before they were amazing, but now they say they are just easy pop targets. i thought two would help that, i dunno

I would pay for the psybolts on the GKSS's. If you run ito hoard armies they will be definately worth there cost. Especially if you dont run a lot of halberts youll be out initiatived by some specialists with ap2/3 weapons.

I like the look of it otherwise, but with all the psycannons, those psybolt for the storm bolters will make it a 24in killing ground.

okay, some points are going to waste n are not needed.


change to GM so you can get GS ability. have the halberd and psycannon on GM. MC cannon that as he is a beast in shooting. You need 2's and you will get to re-roll two shots you miss

take 5 pallies and add 2 psycannons. if you want to add character to pallies and put in SR its fine because it can hold 12 models.

only 1 storm raven is needed.
add assualt cannon to SR and add pysbolt. its a store raven and you want it to have weapons of a diverse nature. You took the melta now take more dacca.

psy dreads are awesome because they have better cover now and they help against enemy taking psyhic test reducing ldrship to 6.

add some servo skulls

crowe is a tax if u wish to take purifiers as troops nothing more and nothing less.

i have a problem with giving a model with no Invul save a 1 attack hammer. it doesnt make sense as to have such odd. so drop hammers unless ur giving it to the justicar

add a dreadknight or an assasin possible the vindicare. do not forget your army can DS and with GM can outflank. You also have the combat special ability so just dont forget your rules and abilities.

Ryao, i understand where you are coming from, and i might try it should things not go well, but ive always followed about Strike Squads and thats to keep them as cheap as possible.

Magneto, i love a bunch of your ideas, i toyed around with it and came up with this new list that sat well with me. Now i know my hammer unit, the GM, Pallies and Storm Raven is EXTREMELY expensive, i get it, but i figure whatever i aim it at, will annihilate it and even after, it will take a lot, whether it be CC or shooting will take a whole lot to crack. key here will being knowing who or what to target. let me know if my logic is flawed. and its stupid to have this unit.

HQ:
Grand Master w/ MC'd Halbred, MC'd Psycannon, x3 servo skulls - 250pts
servo skulls will help keep units out of my deployment zone since most of my army will DS. I MC'd his weapons to make him more effective.

Elites:
x5 Pallies w/ MC'd DH, x4 Halberds, MC Psycannon, Psycannon - 325pts
Coupled with the GM, thats 3 mobile psycannons, two of which are MC'd. i know thats expensive, but might as well make sure i hit, i had some extra points. They would really soften a target up before assaulting

Troops:
x5 Termies w/ MC'd DH, x4 Halberds, Psycannon - 230pts
x5 Termies w/ MC'd DH, x4 Halberds, Psycannon - 230pts
10 Strike Marines w/ MC'd DH(Justicar), x2 Psycannons - 230pts

Having difficulty here. do i drop a termie sqd and take that 3rd strike sqd? or keep as is? all these guys most likely will DS. probably maybe even combat sqd the strike squads.

Fast Attack:

Carries the GM and pallies plus is my anti-air

Thats what i wanted to hear, thanks magneto. they are here to say. not only needed ranged support, but also great anti-psykers
