Tyranid Fluff of Alamgordo's FLGS

So me and the store owner were talking one day and we got on the subject of tyranids because I started getting the models. We started descussing fluff from the codex and various things and got onto the topic of why the nids were in the galaxy. I brought up that since certain types of nid like the carnifex keep getting smarter that wouldnt eventually they gain their own sentience.

that brought this about.

During whatever the tyranids were doing in their preivous galaxy a hive fleet gained enough intellegence that it rebelled from the hive mind their become as it were a "lesser"
Hive mind and that the fleet it controlled had to flee or be killed for the far larger force and wha they really are running away from are bigger and nastier nids.

I am going to try and story this out but I would like inital thoughts and impressions of weither this is possible or I am having dreams of nid rebellion and its not possible.

So I am growing my enemy.....so what I gotta kill something.

The background tyranid fluff is barren

As far as we know that could be entirely the reasons nids are in the galaxy, other than the events after tyran no one knows about the nids and they don't tend to write stuff down down. we know nothing

The only thing thats truely been established is that they are diven by a singular predatory hunger, so rather than fear they may need a new motive ie revenge/ evolution etc
