Crusaders or Sharks ?

Alright so i am not new to 40k but i do want to start a space marine army but i am torn between two chapters the Black Templars and the Charcarodons.

These are both chapters that have always interested me but i was wondering what all of you have to say

neither are legions. space sharks are more expensive to buy iconography and decals for, and you have to get them from forge world. if you go with the black templar you can buy the chapter upgrade for $30. Then again, Carcharodons get this bad boy; http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamme...-RED-WAKE.html
If you have the money, Carcharodons are a slick looking army.

Win/loss record for The Fists of Vengeance- 20 - 1 - 8.
Hive Fleet Kraken- 7 - 2
The Unnamed Clan- 0 - 0 - 0

Templars are waaaaaaayyyyy cooler.

Plus, forget forgeworld if your starting an army. Its expensive and the unique rules and vehicles aren't accepted by some people.

Black Templars are official and have a great novel called Helsreach centred around them.

Or do the best of both worlds and do the Crusader Sharks, valiantly purging the galaxy of evil, tasty noms in the Emperor's name!

The lightning claws in the shape of harpoons was a very nice touch though, gotta further check this chapter, first time I heard of it..

i understood that they are expensive about the Chacharodons my interest was sparked when i saw Tyberos the Red Wake i wanted to run him as a leader but the rest of the army would be a standard marine force. i like unique models...
i am leaning towards the Charcharodons as i like the color scheme and may just use a preheresy kit for the squad leaders and run standard marine rules

and i will definitely eguip the squads with phobos pattern bolters

One of the guys in our group did the Charadons using SW rules. He runs mainly a Loganwing. Looks totally sweet!

Strange, but not a Stranger.

i have a friend who play templar and we know his woes as their codex is horribly out dated as their captian have bs 4 but there epic the charcs you could do any thing with you could mix the bloood angel space marine space wolf blacktempelars and dark angel codexes together imagine that raven wing death company sanginary guard marneus calagar space wolf terminatros and emporers champions in one army o the humanity its glorius

now while i am a fan of the black templars. i'd say go with the sharks. you'll be less likely to run into another player using the same army.

That was another reason i was leaning toward the sharks they are unique as hell XD and i was wondering is ebay a good place to but NIB marines or should i just find a nearby supplier

since now i'm pretty dead set on sharks i'm going to start thinking of the squad leaders in pre heresy gear and do you thing i should get phobos pattern bolters since it said in the fluff they use alot of pre-heresy gear

i'd say arm em with space marine sized las guns but that's just me. think of it, a las gun built for a space marine...

as for what bolter to use? perhaps one that's somewhat made from wood? now it may sound silly but in reference to the guardsmen's weapons, they're not all made from ceramics and plastics and metals... some are made largely from wood with only the valuable bits made out of the proper stuff.
