Default Cadian sentinels?

Do cadian pattern sentinels count as open-topped? Cos they don't technically have a roof.

yes they count as open topped. It says so on GW's website when you click to view the sentinel mini:http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...tCatGameStyle=

by that logic this one is open topped
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod1070196
it quite obviously isn't.

though why buy the outdated cadian one when you can get this one
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod1900031
though considering it has a great big hole in the top, its quite obvious if it is open topped

@Stella yeah just noticed the one i showed was outdated, but even the new one is still open topped

Like HOBO said, scout sentinels are opened topped, armoured ones are not, Pg. 45 IG codex

I think the confusion is coming from the fact you can assemble 3 types of Sentinels from the one box.

You have your Armoured Sentinel, enclosed with a roof

Your Catachan Scout Sentinel, the one with the open roll-bar look (I use this even for my Cadians as does the GW picture)

Then your Cadian Scout Sentinel which looks like an Armoured Sentinel but has no roof - It is still counted as an open topped AV10 vehicle despite this though, it's purely cosmetic.

The irony is all three can be armored, or all three can be scout (and opened topped.)
It's the future, I'm sure some futuristic explination can be made for why they are/arn't.

How the fuck did you guys even FIND that?
I can't see it listed anywhere, and searching for it comes up with nothing either!
