Default WANTED!:Motivational/Inspirational speeches

So i've come into a slump lately where i don't want to paint anything. I got a defiler for christmas (love my wife) and i've assembled it to the point where i should spray it and paint it before assembling any further. Ever since building my alienaught/dreadafex I have no desire to do such a thing. I really need some inspiring speech, idea, or something to get me back in the mood to dive into the hobby. Please help!

woog out!

Here's all the inspiration you need.

Somewhere some wargamer is staring at his computer screen RIGHT NOW wishing he had that model to love, play with, and paint. See, he hasn't been able to buy a model in five years. He's been playing with Monopoly pieces and pieces of paper with unit names written on them all glued to bases because he can only afford to buy the bases!

This gamer would love to have a defiler. It's a beautiful model with a lot of potential and could give him hours of enjoyment painting and even more fun when his friends watched their paper mache dreadnought stomped on by his beautiful (and real!) Defiler.

There are men who paint for a day and they are good.
There are men who paint for a year and they are better.
There are men who paint many years, and they are better still.
But there are those who paint all their lives:
These are the indispensable ones.

Bertolt Brecht, with help from yourstruly

Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers!

I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me!

A day may come, when the courage of men fails - when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of Fellowship - but it is not this day.

An hour of wolves, and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day!

This day we fight!

By all that you hold dear, on this good Earth, I bid you - Stand! Men of the West!

An hour of woes, and Squatted armies when the age of balance comes crashing down, but it is not this day!

Some good ones in these pictures. I'll have to find more in my pictures folders. The Capitan America motivational poster is the OC for the speech in the Tiananmen Square picture.

Player: Sons of Chaos, I am a Warhammer 40k Player!

Young painter: Warhammer 40k players have 700 models.

Player: Yes, I've heard. Paints models by the hundreds, and if he were here he'd paint the Defiler with acrylics from his eyes and green stuff from his arse. I AM a Warhammer 40k Player. And I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of laziness. You have come to paint as free men, and free men you are. What would you do with your brushes? Will you paint?

Veteran painter: Paint? Against that? No, we will procrastinate; and we will chill.

Warhammer 40k Player: Aye, paint and you may exert yourself. procrastinate and you'll rest -- at least a while. And playing on your tables many games from now, would you be willing to trade all the games from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and paint this model, and tell our opponents that they may take our victory, but they'll never do it with an army that looks better than ours!!!!!

ALL: WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Found the one I was looking for. It's way off topic but I feel people should see it just the same. Motivates me when I need it. After reading that all I can say is "Paint your damn minis."
