I once traded an Eldar Falcon for a 1,250 point Tau army (barely painted, in basically mint condition). It was his idea, too!

I have given away armies and been given armies.

Just today I was picking up a window AC from a friend at his storage place and he hands me a plastic bin with at least 2000pts of 40k Orks and 2000pts of Dark Elves (both mostly painted & partialy in pieces) and says "Take these if ya want them, I don't play any more, I know you'll use them or give them to someone who will". That's just how we are, we'd rather see game stuff get used then sit on a shelf or in storage.

20 cadians (plastic) including 20 grenade launchers, flamers, vox sets and helmets, 1 Vindicare assassin, a culexus assassin, 1 metal 2nd ed sentinel and 10 metal rough riders (with sgt and standard bearer model - the old RT models with space-mongol hats) for $20.

So, it could almost be said that I paid full price for the Vindicare and got the rest for free.

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?

He does win.

I don't have individual scores like most of the replies on this thread but I have managed to collect 30 Wraithguard for about $10 each.

My most recent catch: bought a 2K Tyranid army including a Tyrant, Trygon, and two of the new Space Hulk Genestealers with Battlefoam 1520 case and custom Tyranid foam for $400.

Any more I like bargain hunting more than buying new models. Something about the thrill of the hunt.

I was given about 2000pts (mostly metal) of Dwarfs, about 600pts eldar a fire warrior squad, a necron warrior squad, and a lotr troll from a friend who decieded to quit playing, for free.

other than that I would probably guess at my 18 gutter runners and 3 assassins for 50p + 80p P&P on ebay
