its not uncommon for me to charge SM with FW. my FW are better some how at CC than my XVs.

DIVTIVS VOS OBTVTVS IN CASSVS, PENITVS CASSVS OBTVTVS IN VOS.

Numbers maybe. Thats about the only possible thing you could attribute success on a charge to.

How i deal with those pesky firewarriors. Though one game i played against tau, my opponent knew how deadly flagellants were, so he charged em with his pathfinders. I proceeded to roll 3 sixes.

Far from true. Broadsides have a good save and 3 S5 attacks each on the charge. They can tie up an opponent and grind down many weaker opponents (GEQ). 2 XV88+1 SD killed 20 gaunts for me over 5 CC phases before Xmas. had I not charged myself I would have drowned in received attacks. Most importantly though it stopped the Warriors close by from charging my XV88s too since I was swamped by Gaunts, thus leaving them stranded outside CC and dead my next shooting phase

Win/Draw/Loss(5th ed results)
EC: 45/2/12
Tau: 28/3/7

Yeah man, EMP grenades are really good, but people just go "Fire Warriors? PAH!"
Have a squad of FW with Carbines and EMP, you have a very nice little mobile assault force in a Devilfish.
18" range on the move, so you can keep away from threats pretty well, and if you get close to a vehicle, you will fuck it up.

Crisis suits arent that bad in cc either. If you go against a squad without a power weapon admittedly uncommon i was thinking orks or devestator and havoc squads that have already taken some losses, you can lay down some pretty nasty wounds on low save enemies especially with strength 5

I think in general with tau if your going to charg... charge low armour save enemies, take a carbine and pray you weaken them alot before you do it, chances are if he has a 3+ save he will rip you to shreads
