My pet peave is the fact that my wife, who has played the game for about 2 years on and off can beat me constantly when I've beeing playing for about 15 years.

Your mother cooks socks in Hull!!
If somthing is worth doing, it's worth taking too far, "We set our motley puppets on the clouds and call them gods...","Ah! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!" "Come see the violence inherent in the system!" "HELP HELP! I AM BEING REPRESSED!"

"Quick! Poke it up her "wrongun" before it's to late!" Jezlad

Ok here goes:
People that pick up the successes when they roll die.
People using stupid coloured die that you can’t see the spots on from more than 12” away.
People moving a unit or vehicle backwards & forwards trying to decide where to move it to thus gaining distance.
People that get really fucked off when they think the die are going against them & can’t hide their anger. Get over it it’s only a game & we all have bad ones occasionally.

May is not must.

If in doubt always choose the lesser of two weevils

just freaking do it ok?

the absolutely atrocius armour system, its so damned unrealistic it just ruins things for me, mainly GW's stupid X system over there tanks to decide what armour facing your hitting, its so damn flawed and makes tanks pointless at best

My pet peeves are also model touching, I hate that.

Nice work with the green shoulders and old school models, Elchimpster. I am working on pre-heresy Word Bearers so I wanted an old school perspective.

People who are playing a friendly game who take the advantages of crooked dice or measurements, but don't give you the same advantages when you ask for them. If you want to complain over something small and I give you the benefit don't be a jerk and not give me that same benefit when I make the same argument against you.

Too laid back to have many.

1. People who dont ask before picking up my figures
2. When you explain a rule, show the person the rule, demonstrate the rule and your opponent gets uptight about it because they didnt know. 'Well I have not done that for the rest of the GT. I didnt know you got to reroll the damage for passengers when you blow up my rhino'. Its about the only thing that ticks me off and its probably because the other way round I just say 'cool, lets get on with it'.

Rereading this makes me sound less laid back than I actually am.

Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.

I don't mind model touching unless you touch my tanks. I have well over a hundred standard guardsmen fully assembled, painted and flocked. It takes me about 1 hour to do ten. That I don't mind. My tanks are my babies. You toucha the tanky. I breaka you face.

*sigh* I have to point out that despite what you see in games, lasrifles win wars. Just because lasrifles suck at killing superhuman killing machines in power armor does not mean that they are bad weapons. You are shooting them at the wrong targets. The most common enemy the Imperium faces is lightly armored humans armed with lasguns or autoguns, NOT SPACE MARINES.
