Default Lost and the Damned

Hello all.
I'm new to the 40K universe, but am a veteran at WHFB.
I've decided to start a Lost and the Damned army.
I've got the IG and Chaos Marines codexes, as well as the LatD rules.

What I've got to decide now is - what to get. Nearly everything in the lists is appealing to me, theres nothing that I see that I don't really want.
However, I am interested in a offensive force, not one that sits back and shoots.
So - any Chaos, IG or LatD players out there to give me some advice?
Thanks in advance.

If you want to attack rather than shoot Muties are the core of your army, put some backbone into it with Daemons and Marines from the Chaos codex the IG stuff you can have is more shooty so probably not for you.

Have a big swarm of zombies, and support them with CSM cc squads. A couple of traitor squads with autocannons/lascannons to worry armour. Avoid big mutants, and those crappy living weapon things, they'll kill u more than the enemy.

I run a LatD list that is centered on 3 units of Traitors, 3 Guard tanks, and stiffened by a generous helping of Khorne berzerkers and Bloodletters. Oh and a Bloodthirster as well.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?
