Default Are these a new style of scarab swarm?

I was just looking through the necrons on games workshop and I came upon these fellas.

I was just wondering if they were a new style of scarab swarm or if I just hadn't noticed them before.

Well the Plastic Sprues still have the Scarabs on them, so that they're still available.

They do look pretty Scabby. Not Scaraby. Scabby.

They look interesting, but do not look like necrons.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poke me in the ribs and cackle, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started to do the same thing to them at funerals.

These look like the original scarab swarms for raider necrons, but i believe it was supposed to be one scarab per base and it almost looks like they just stuck 2 of them on 1 base.

As necroman said, these are the old school sacrab swarms, circa about 1998 I think.

Thanks necroman and jacobite, just wondering why the swarms looked like they were being changed. Think I'll stick with the plastic ones though, bit cheaper.

They are the old Scarab models, and they are the only way to get Scarabs on their own. With modern Scarabs the only way to get them is to buy Warriors.

I think the plastic ones are a better sculpt.
