Default No Chapter Master in eighth edition?

I was reading Imperium one finally and there's no Chapter Master in it? Does anyone know why it was taken out? I've been playing 5th Edition since like 2005 so I wouldn't know lol

"I am Honored to call every single one of you my brother.....You will die today, I will die today but if we must die for the greater good of humanity so be it. With our deaths, our children will blossom into the stars with the Primarches of anew and start a new, grander crusade in the name of the Emperor and as the Emperor's chosen, we will guide them to that path......Show them the true fury of the Emperor's wraith one last time my brothers!.....Forward in the name of the Emperor and may you find salvation with the Emperor when the end comes for you.

Because they have always been intending to come out with codecies for 8th edition. They also don't have all the primaris units in the Imperium index or chapter specific rules or warlord traits or relics, because again those are all going to be in the codex.

Look at the index's not as a 100% replacement for the previous editions codex but more a semi stop gap that allows you to keep playing and the dev team to make tweaks and changes before giving you something more finalized.

Also, the in game difference between a chapter master and captain won't be all that much. Probably one extra wound and attack and maybe come clad in artificer armour.

Damnation is paved on good intentions; subtle and sugar coated or blunt and honest
A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down.
Popularity is what people strive for when they lack the strength to be themselves.

Seriously, is it really that hard to write reviews without spoilers?
