1) an update to the BA 'dex bringing it actually in line with 7th edition (could be the same as the Tau update for all I care)
2) an update/Formation/anything that will let Deathwing come in T1 again or at least start on the table
3) ....I'll have to get back to you on this one.
I just want number 1 as well.
2) Wouldn't say no to some new models for the BA characters. Dante still looks awesome, but just look at Logan and Calgar these days. Corbulo is just horrible as well. Mephiston I wouldn't mind either way. Tycho just needs to go. Astorath is good. Lemartes is fucking awesome, pity his rules suck.
Plastic Greater Daemons, Sisters getting a Dark Eldar-style total overhaul, CSM and Tyranids getting good rules, plastic Cult Troops, plastic Thunderhawk, miraculous intervention to save the Horus Heresy series by Abnett and ADB and the new Gaunt's Ghosts book.
Did I miss any of the usual ones?
My personal three? I don't have three. I don't even have two. I have one very simple wish for 40k this year.
I wish for regularly updated FAQs or releases that bring all the armies to a more consistent power level. Bring it to even just a par with 8th edition Fantasy in terms of inter-Codex balance, and I'm a happy camper.
1. More HH characters/ primarchs
2. Some more focus on the harlequins as they don't have much to choose from and are as a result quite a weak army on the whole.
3. Urrrrrm more HH fluff? I guess.
You know, despite them being a 'bottom of the pile' army book when it comes to tournament/overly competitive play, I get a lot of flak over my Blood Angel army (and it's not like I play all Drop Pods or Forgeworld nuttiness either). The only things that have straight up dunced me are Pod'd grav Centurions and Forgeworld stuff I'd never faced before (Fire Raptors, Dread Claws, etc.).
1) New models particularly for the ancient buggies
2) update to the codex so we stand a little stronger
3) update to the forgeworld rules and more new models
1 - New Mephiston - I think the model is becoming out-dated, would love an entirely new sculpt for him
2 - Thousand Sons - Same as above really
3 - Tanith first and only
1) See to it that every unit that is in a codex also have a plastic/resin kit.
2) Ork Warboss multi-part-kit, all options. Make it two kits, one Mega-armour/basic with 'eavy armour option.
3) More race specifik scenary.
1. A new Chaos Space Marine codex with specific legion rules.
2. A new Buggy/Wartrack plastic kit for Orks. (Maybe if this new Specialist Games thing gets going they will release a new box set of Gorkamorka full of them.)
3. For me to paint up a whole army without getting side-tracked, selling stuff on e-bay, starting again and repeating in some sort of mad never-ending hobby loop.
Lemartes sucks as a special unit and I think that making him able to move to the Lords category with an update in his rules that reflects this as a major improvement. The problem I have is that he's such an awesome looking character with such an awful set of rules that makes using him a real damper...
1. New Tyranid codex. I still enjoy playing my bugs, but some of the units feel unnecessarily, if still hilariously, weak. Hell, I'd settle for just an update on Shadow in the Warp.
2. Another shout out for more regular FAQs. The lack of communication can feel downright rude sometimes, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. On the plus side, it's where GDubs let's itself down that the community really shines for me, and whilst my local gaming group doesn't use tournament FAQs religiously, between those and forums like these we can nearly always find a reasonable, unbiased interpretation of any ambiguous rules.
3. SM Jump pack command squads? I'm reaching for the stars here, as RG have been very well looked after by both gdubs and FW lately, but a man can dream.
