Default So, I'm getting back into 40K...

Not like I ever left it, but I slowed down ALOT on it, and I'm curious, what tanks should I buy for my Imperia- I mean Astra Militarum? and I mean I'd like to know if there's any 40K friendly, non-GW tanks that look awesome and won't break my bank, as it stands, i plan on buying a load of new Marines/Orks/Chaos, but Guard Models i can generally get third party.

I looked at Warzone tanks but they're mostly Ebay and even more expensive than GW's Russ's.

I'm mostly not really for cost(even though I'm trying to cut back on cost) wanting to make my army look more unique.

I currently use Warzone Bauhaus Ducal Militia for Guardsmen, and Hussar's for Tempestus Scions.

mmh, generally speaking, tanks are hard "conversion" or "count as" models for wh40k.
I'd suggest to look here, for some goodies

but tanks are a rare thing to find. some ramshakle ork tanks, yes...otherwise i can suggest to buy "nomal" modelism tanks and artilleries (brand "tamiya" for example) but at that point you might justwant to go and buy some nice turrets for your regular gw tanks...

For chimeras, you can use the set-back style or get a conversion kit, or get a tamiya vehicle model and 40k it.

Try searching google for inspiration - google "chimera 40K conversion, for example, should bring up lots of pictures you can use for inspiration.

So here's what I got so far from other forums, and my own searchings also

Ducal Militia = Guardsmen(Me)
Hussar's = Stormtroopers(me)
Battle Dog = Leman Russ(someone on The Miniatures page)
Rhebok Transport = Chimera(someone on The Miniatures page)
Morser Karl = Basilisk (me)

I'm also getting ogryn's and sentinel's(I love those things)

any suggestions on emplacements? FW emplacements, while not exactly expensive, I'd like to get them sooner possibly than 2-4 weeks

Man a classic Warzone Bauhaus Grizzly would be amazing. One of the gamers from my old FLGS bought one. And the old ones look a dam sight better than the new ones. It was easily the best vehicle in the original (or probably any edition) of Warzone.

There is a site with original tanks all for 40k. The price is around 40% cheaper then FW.
