Default BBC Article: How HG Wells created hobby war gaming

Pretty decent wee article on the BBC today about a game to celebrate the 100 years since HG Wells wrote his Little Wars rules:

And on an only partly related note, there's this:

Oddly I knew he was a wargame designer before I knew he was an author. All His works I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years tho'

Didn't they have that exact same picture from that article in WHW? It was certainly an old image of original war gamers

Me: To be honest im amazed there isn't a chaos god of not revising or at least chaos god of procrastination

MidnightSun: There will be, when enough people do it. Y'know when the Eldar were all engaging in their hedonism and Slaanesh ripped open the Eye of Terror with his creation? Slaanesh will have NOTHING on the God of Procrastination, and his vile minions will carve the galaxy asunder in a thousand year reign of blood.... Tomorrow

Anybody fancy firing real projectiles at thier figures?

But yes a facinating article. I would love to read the rules, but I would not be keen on playing. I'm not too sure how much I would enjoy historical wargaming (although I am tempted by bolt action).

Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.
