It's a Space Marine, but not one othat GW has made, to my knowledge. There are a lot of independent sculptors who sell "28mm Sci Fi Heroes", called such to avoid the wrath of the GW Legal gestapo. A lot of those guys only order 1 or 200 casts of their sculpt, and let that be the end of it. I couldn't even hazard a guess as to the sculptor-- the big name I know is Scribor, but he uses a different logo on his photos-- I don't recognize the purple logo on the upper left.

Yeah your all right he is a marine, its supposedly a terminator captain or large captain model, with the options to pose him in upto 84 different poses, it has like 4 of each arm with different positons and options. Its crazy as looking, would make a great start to any marine army, and yes he is definately independant but its not a scibor. I have several of scibors models as far as primarchs and even the emperor go, hence my Avatar but this is something ive never seen before, if no one seems to know what it is, do you guys think something this crazily individual would be worth buying?

If I were you, I'd name him William. It's a good name is William. It can be used in full at formal occasions, can be shortened to Will when you're in a more casual mood and Bill when you're feeling like 'doing the business' on somebody. Sadly, as a child, you'll be known as Billy or Willy but then you get to go 'Bill' on them when you're older. Is it time for my medication yet, nurse?

wow.

So, anyway, back on schedule... is there a larger picture floating around, or at least a link to the site that has the model? I'm intrigued by the eighty-some-odd poses bit that got mentioned...

The model is a multi part kit of the emperor but can't remember who did it. Its suppost to come with an unhelmeted head, sword and claw combo and somer other nice bits but that one of the versions you can make with the parts. I saw the complete kit thing on ebay a few weeks back
